I hope the Republicans will use the hearings to educate Americans on the racial views of Obama and Sotomayor. They believe in achieving equal results through racial preferences rather than equal treatment under the law.

That would be racist.

This is a mistake on a national level.

On a local level, The low-end African-Americans of New Haven and their leaders are looking for an excuse to rumble. Those firemen need security around their homes and families, not being paraded around DC by the disgusting RINO brigade, to further inflame the misguided feelings of entitlement held by the low-end African-Americans of New Haven, who might more profitably use their time to consider taking time off from crime, crack sales and use, to learn Spanish.

The massive hispanic influx has further marginalized low-end African-Americans, and NEWSFLASH the last people they are going to blame are their own elected, and worse, self-appointed leaders.

Doubtless, Sotomayor will get to the floor for confirmation. The "Republicans" ought to state their case, cast their 40 votes against her, and walk out in a body, as if they were real American men and women. If any "Republican" votes to confirm this Affirmative Action @$$hole, they ought to be horsewhipped on the Capitol steps, and I will do the first stripe on Collins and Snow.

The best we can do is let Roberts, Scalia, and Alito rip the jerk's work to shreds when she takes the seat. SCOTUS, one more reason I held my nose to vote for McCain

The one witness they ought to question is Sotomayor herself, and each Republican should go point-by-point down her list of racist pronouncements and poor legal decisions, over and over, ad nauseum, and be very public with it. That should be enough for most of the thinking American people. Whether it wins over any Dem senators - well, it should.

Her brand of ignorance has NO PLACE in the justice system of the US.

I didn’t even know that the Republican minority on the Judiciary Committee has the authority to subpoena or invite witnesses, unless the committee as whole approves it. So are some Dems allowing Mr. Ricci to testify? Seems like this would bring the subject of “reverse discrimination” more exposure than it has gotten for years. Sounds good from a conservative perspective - if it comes to pass.

I fear that the Republicans will do their usual fade and she will be confirmed hands down. Maybe we will one day elect people (Republicans) who will stand up for their belief in whats right and not whats agreeable.

ITEM Obama Reviving Bush Idea to Catch Illegal Workers seems aimed at mollifying apprehensive voters.

ITEM Yesterday Senate Repubs SUCCESSSFULLY amended Homeland Security's budget to extend E-Verify to federal contractors and to expand construction of fencing on the US-Mexico border.....something Soto's agitators DO NOT WANT.

COULD BE THE IDEAL TIME TO DEMAND OBO PULL THE SOTO NOM : Call Congress switchboard: 202-225-3121

The SUCCESSSFUL effort to extend E-Verify and to expand construction of fencing on the US-Mexico border is PROOF-POSITIVE Obo and the Dems are getting bigtime flak for their illegals-felate-a-thon.....and that anti-illegal is a consensus issue.

MESSAGE TO SENATORS: Americans are sending the word across the land: "Sotomayor's rulings shows she would make policy through the court. The US Constitution precludes judges from making laws. It is understandable that Americans are apprehensive: Sotomayor and her crowd are colluding to exert raw power over the majority---to turn the US into a failed Third World satrap. These racialists do not understand a sophisticated superpower----a democracy governed by the rule of law, based on three co-equal branches of government."

END MESSAGE Any Senator who votes to confirm Sotomayor risks his/her reelction chances.

ACTION Every senator should get 10-15,000 calls from Americans. Even with Dems in control, 10-15,000 calls could make a difference.....this is an issue that cuts across party lines. Ask Hillary who lost a primary b/c she endorsed licenses for illegals.

I hope the Republicans will use the hearings to educate Americans on the racial views of Obama and Sotomayor.

Our guys will receive lots of fake letters from "Hispanics thinking about becoming Republican" - who plead with them not to be too harsh on Sotomayor. And as always, our guys will buy the fake letters believing them to be real...

QUESTION Are US government officials taking orders from foreign governments?

REFERENCE Sept. 3, 2008 article "Mexican president blasts U.S. policy" The president of Mexico, Felipe Calderon, in his first state of the nation address, said, "Mexico does not end at its borders." He also reached out to the millions of Mexicans living in the United States, many illegally, saying "where there is a Mexican there is a Mexico."

BALDERDASH Americans demand OUR elected politicians explain to Calderon that Mexico does end at the border, and to advise his people to apply legally for entry into the US. Our senators and congressmen would get off their seats and see to it that our immigration laws are enforced. If a country does not enforce an orderly immigration policy, eventually it will implode.

Just for the record: how does Calderon treat illegals who enter his southern Mexican borders?

What we would have is an uninformed and reluctant teacher in such a case hoping the students will stay asleep and not ask too many questions. Casper the Friendly Ghost Republicans do fear their own shadows, and much of it is demography. They are also Rodney King Republicans just trying to keep their heads afloat.
