I’ve had several family members who have had lupus. It is a very nasty disease. This does explain somewhat why he seemed in such bad health. Auotoimmune diseases are very hard to live with. I’ve heard it said that it is not the lupus that kills you, it’s the treatments.
I wouldn’t go to a podiatrist for heart surgery. I wouldn’t go to a brain surgeon for breast implants.
