Fiscal Policy: The $787 billion "stimulus" was supposed to stimulate all of America equally, right? As it turns out, as in George Orwell's "Animal Farm," all areas may be equal, but some are politically more equal than others.
Got that? Money that's supposed to "stimulate" our economy is in fact lining the pockets of Democratic Party supporters.
In 2008, 872 counties supported Obama during the election. Each received roughly $69 in stimulus per person. Of the 2,234 counties that voted for John McCain, the average was $34.
"There's no politics at work when it comes to spending for the recovery," insisted White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
Of course, he's right. No one actually sits down and directs the money to Obama supporters and away from McCain supporters.
They don't have to. It's baked in the cake. That's the way our national laws are written. They benefit supporters of Democrats, who tend to support big government, and disadvantage supporters of the GOP, who tend not to support big government.
No wonder polls show people losing faith in the stimulus.
To date, most of the $158 billion that has been made available has gone to state governments. And the bulk has gone to places like California, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey blue states all.

That’s forsure
Sadly no Republican seems to be able to grab the microphone and make these obvious points.
This is sort of silly. As soon as the stimulus was passed, you had GOP governors refuse to take lots of the money. I can recall Palin, Barbour, Jindal and of course Sanford, (and probably more) refuse lots of the money. Conservative mayors refused funds while lib mayors were writing grants for anything that was available.
Now someone wants to holler- They’re Getting More Money!!!!.
Well, they are the only ones shiftless enough to apply for it, while we struggle to make our own way!!!!
>>Isn’t this some kind of discrimination? <<
That’s the reason we are not making better inroads to get our freedoms back. We ASK if it is discrimination. LIBs scream out loud that it IS discrimination.
If you have to ask, you already know the answer. Turn it back on them. Accuse them over and over again until it sinks in that they ARE discriminating.
You really think ABC or MSNBC will give a Repub a mike to talk about such issues?
There were some GOP governors who refused it, but not all
Ok then I say this discrimination is outrageous
Correct. But how many Dem gov’s refused it? I can’t think of a one. I know that here in SC when Sanford was refusing the funds, Mayor Coble (Columbia, SC State Capitol) was hosting conferences for mayors on how to apply for stimulus pork. Dem mayors attended in droves and are sucking up Obama bucks. Many repubs are as well, but the Dems make a sport of it.
For democrats, NO!! THAT’S the way they play the game!!!
I keep the 2008 Election By County map in a handy location.
Since my vacation travel dollars are totally discretionary, I consult the 2008 Election By County map before committing to visit an area of the USA.
If a county is Democrat Blue, I do not go on a vacation there.
My vacation travel dollars go to Red Republican counties.
This is my capitalist version of Spreading the Wealth to my fellow conservatives.
I want to be on the list sgprince@hotmail.com
Good for you!! I am Pres. too.... and love the Lord and hate the stuff that is going on right now.
Thanks, I have added you. :)
Oh they probably will, but then, they have 4 liberals shout the the Republican down
If true, is this legal?
I hope that this gets out to all those conservative districts who voted Democrat last year.
It sure sounds like discrimination to me
