I wish people would quit talking about 2012; that's not the right focus. Federer won Wimbledon by focusing on points and games, not the number Grand Slam events he hoped to win.

Romney may have been in Newsweek, on ABC, etc., but I no longer go to those sources. I've seen a lot of activism from Newt Gingrich recently. He has been taking it to Obama and the Democrats. I'm impressed most every time I see and listen to him.

I listened to an old (about a year old) podcast when I went for a walk yesterday. The speaker(from National Review) talked about the different Republidan candidates. I remember him describing Huckabee as a pro-life Democrat. He said Ron Paul did not vote for Bush in 2000 or 2004 (vs. Gore and Kerry), because Bush was not conservative enough for Ron Paul. Giuliani was the front-runner at the time. But he thought that might change as they learned that Giuliani wore more dresses than Hillary. The less we here about Paul, Huckabee, Giuliani, and McCain in 2012, the better.

I think Romney has good organizing and communication skills, and is a thousand times better on the issues than Obama, and one hundred times better on the issues than a generic Democrat. Newt Gingrich has an excellent grasp of history, and can choose a message and get it across. Romney comes across as Mr. Smooth. Gingrich comes across as a scrappy fighter (fully prepared to fight). Right now, I really appreciate Newt. I think Sarah really got under the skin of the Democrats with her Obama zingers. There is something about telling the truth, that really hurts pompous fakes like Mr. O.

The media gave us John McCain and now they want to repeat the disaster by giving us another liberal Republican who can’t win an election. BS on that.

I wish people would quit talking about 2012; that's not the right focus.

You two are so right!

This horse race BS is how the media control who the nominees are. They use it to promote the ones they want and bury the others. That's how they were able to push McInsane and then Huckafraud to help McInsane.

Further, the horse race BS for 2012 totally takes away from getting back as much of Congress as possible. That has to be the number one goal otherwise there may not be a 2012 to worry about.

BTW, the more stories about Romney like this from the likes of dour Gerry Seib, the more you have to believe that his people were behind a lot of the inside attacks on Sarah.

I’ve always like Newt, whatever his personal failings. He’s an intelligent, thinking conservative. I’m always surprised by how many people on her don’t like him.
