Vigorous exercise can add many active years to one's life...but most folks would rather take a pill so they can spend ten more years on the couch watching America's Biggest Loser.

Go figure!

Exercise does indeed lengthen life, apparently eating less does too. But I had a different take on it. What if it were treated as a vitamin instead of a magic bullet pill? There would still be some couch potatoes no doubt. But some would feel better and be healthier and therefore motivated to be more active and eat healthy, getting the best benefits of both, just as people already active and healthy would hopefully see extra benefit, too.
