Sarah Palin: It's Her Party And She'll Resign If She Wants To.
by Chris Stigall
It has been amusing to watch the speculation of the Alaska Governors motivations and future aspirations after announcing her resignation last Friday. Senate bid? No, Alaskans would never forgive her for leaving them said the Sunday shows. Presidential bid? Not possible now, say the smartest strategists and campaigners. Host a talk show? Sell books? Go on the lecture circuit? All possible, though not all probable. But the one thing most of the pundits on both the left and the right in Washington D.C. have declared certain - Palins political career is D.O.A.
Not so fast, my friends. Since were all engaged in wild speculation, allow the reading of one more set of tea leaves, if you please.

Great article! SARAH makes the liberals’ heads explode and herds the RINOs off a cliff! She represents average Americans and we LOVE her for it!
SARAH PALIN, 2012!!!
She has very valid reasons for what she is doing and it will become pretty clear soon.
I think this was a bad move on her part. She will now always be looked upon as quitting when the going got tough.
I asked a 37 years old why he hates her. He said because she’s stupid. I said “How many states are there?”
He replied, “Fifty.”
I said Obama said he’d been to all 57 states.
He replied, “Well, he meant states and territories”.
I said “They all have to rationalize.”
I find it humorous that the elites in D.C. who hate Sarah because she’s not an elitist tell the rest of us who are not elistists what Sarah can and cannot do.
Baloney. It was the only possible move if she wants to have a national future.

She will now always be looked upon as quitting when the going got tough.
Also mention that Biden said that Franklin D. Roosevelt spoke to the nation on TV in 1929, when there was neither TV nor Roosevelt President.
Thanks for posting, great article!
From the article:
“No, theyll not say it publicly. In fact, theyll dismiss her influence altogether if asked. But Ill bet my house that the weekend voice mailbox of Governor Palin was full of begging, pleading Republican Senate, House, and gubernatorial candidates humbly requesting this erratic, irrelevant, lightweight to come stand at their side during their upcoming picnic/potluck/town hall/ cocktail fundraiser”.
Yeah, bad move.
George Washington? good grief...
While she may well have been a good governor, I do NOT see her as presidential material, not by any stretch of the imagination, and I definitely don’t see her as the conservative messiah that so many others worship. Personally, I think she would do well to run for Senate...not the presidency.
“Winners never quit and quitters never win.”—Vince Lombardi
Who do you favor for President?
“The first time you quit, it’s hard. The second time, it gets easier. The third time, you don’t even have to think about it.” — Paul “Bear” Bryant
I don’t say I don’t like her, but I will say that I just don’t think she’s presidental material. (plus, the whole “we should consider going to war with Russia over Georgia” thing showed me how she was willing to tow the neo-con party line...or worse yet, she believes it herself. That turned me off to her).
Beyond that, yes, I think this episode hurt her...but she was damaged goods already. I think that nationally, she is utterly unelectable. I liked Dan Quayle, but could he possibly have gotten elected as President??
I would love to see the republican party nominate an actual, honest-to-goodness conservative as their presidential candidate (I don’t think it will happen anyway), but surely someone better could be chosen. Now, I am NOT a pragmatist. I’m the least pragmatic person on Freerepublic, I’m sure. Pragmatism is the devil that has led us to the sad state we are in now. Revolutions are not fought, much less won, by pragmatists, but I just think conservatives might need to hitch their wagons to a different horse.
Of the current crop of prominent Presidential possibles, I see NO ONE that I really like at all...and several I despise... DeMint might show some promise, but I’d have to research him more before I could say I would support him.
Unfortunately, principles do not win elections in America. Appearances do.
Seriously folks you need to get a grip on reality. Sarah Palin did not want to finish her first term as a governor and you think that people will elect her President? If a democrat has done this and want to run for President it will be the first thing we use against him or her. She screwed it up big by resigning her job as governor but yet some people want to delude themselves that this is a good thing.
More of the typical taking out of context... she was talking about a scenario where Georgia was already a member of NATO. Yes that's what NATO allies do... go to war for each other in case of an attack.
She was 100% spot on and it's about time we stop groweling before the Gremlins in the Kremlin.
but she was damaged goods already. I think that nationally, she is utterly unelectable.
Take note what will happen in the following months and years, once she conquers the lower 48 for the GOP.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
“She screwed it up big by resigning her job as governor”
I’m sorry, but you’ve really got to stop believing the liberals’ lies.
SARAH is more popular than ever! She accomplished at least 15 MAJOR THINGS as Governor in TWO YEARS!!!! That’s more than most governors accomplish in two terms!
Who else can bring in 20,000-30,000 people at a short notice??? You don’t see Romney or Huckabee doing that, do you?
It is a great thing that SARAH won’t be bound by the varmints in the Alaska State Legislature. She can’t run for President from Alaska. She knows she’s needed in Washington and we are gonna help her get there!
SARAH PALIN, 2012!
She wouldn’t have gotten anywhere had she stayed in Alaska:
