New Jersey Governor: Christie Still Leads NJ Gov Race
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 7/8/09 | Rasmussen

Republican challenger Chris Christie has lost his post-primary bounce but still leads incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine in the New Jersey governor’s race.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state shows Christie with a seven-point lead over Corzine, 46% to 39%. A month ago, immediately following his GOP Primary victory, Christie led by 13 percentage points. The current numbers are just about identical to the pre-primary numbers from May.

He's another RHINO.

NJ just can't get it right!

Lonegan would have had a gone chance of trying to straighnten out this state. Now it will be business as usual with a Republican label instead of a Demoncrat label.

My vote won’t change from now to election day. You really have to wonder about the marshmallows who are part of a “bounce” for a couple of weeks and then change their minds back. Scary.

The biggest price here is that the next Governor can appoint a US Senator. Lautenberg must be at least 100 years old, he cannot live forever, and at some point there is a need for appointment.

Though I suspect that if Christie wins, ACORN thugs simply eliminate Lautenberg after the election but before the inauguration so Corzine can appoint next Senator.

Christie is status-quo. No ads going after Corzine. Just as I suspected. RINOs will attack conservatives with ferocity but will be chums with the Dems. BTW, Corzine will win in a landslide.

Please do us a favor and spare us the Christie is a RINO it makes no difference, and then we have to listen to people offering single reasons why it matters.

There are 1000 reasons it matters. Christie is low taxes, pro growth, anti corruption. That should be enough. Picking judges. The attorney general. Highway tolls.

Please don’t let’s hear this RINO crap because Christie said he’s all for windmills. Big deal. Liberals oppose windmills as in Ted Kennedy.

It does matter. Big time. This state is corrupt big time.

No, YOU lsiten up!

“Christie is low taxes, pro growth, anti corruption. That should be enough. Picking judges. The attorney general. Highway tolls.”

What's Christie done as an Attorney General during his 13 year reign? Tried 5 ILLEGAL aliens and FAVORS “sanctuary cities”. You MUST confront him on this crap. It's ruining our state.

“Please don’t let’s hear this RINO crap because Christie said he’s all for windmills. Big deal. Liberals oppose windmills as in Ted Kennedy.”

YOU shut up! He is a freaking RHINO. He's another IDIOT and he MUST be confronted on this. Honestly, I don't need to repeat the idiotic 70’s again. Christie is an idiot when it comes to the environment.

“It does matter. Big time. This state is corrupt big time.”

Yes, the state is totally corrupt and that is why RHINO, Christie needs to HEAR and UNDERSTAND that we DEMAND rational Conservative governing and he needs to LOSE the RHINO mindset he has. He will tax us to death - just watch. Cut him off at the knees and preempt him on that.

He also said he’s not interested in asking Palin to campaign for him; must think she’s “damaged goods”. Seems like he’s content with Romney campaigning for him - what a fool.

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/07/new_jersey_gop_gubernatorial_c.html

“New Jersey GOP gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie’s campaign has no interest in help from Sarah Palin after the former vice presidential candidate stepped down as governor of Alaska, in part to help Republican candidates across the country.

New Jersey Republican Chairman Jay Webber said he’d had no contact with Palin or her team about a campaign visit on behalf of Chris Christie, who polls show is leading Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine in the race.”

Christie was not an attorney general, he wasnt a US Attorney for 13 years, amd he tried, convicted and sent to jail a boatload of corrupt politicians.

So what you are shouting simply is not true.

I’ve watched conservatives grit their teeth and shout against GOP candidates and all they can possibly get us is more pro tax pro gay marriage pro corruption anti death penalty Corzine.

So lower yoir voice and use your head I’d like to know why you aren’t shouting against Corzine?

Sorry but NJ isn’t Texas and Palin probably can’t help Christie in NJ. But IF Christie is a republican governor HE can help whoever the GOP prez candidate is in 2012.

You don’t invite in a politician to “help” unless it will help. And Palin wouldn’t want to come unless it will help.

Same thing with Bush as president, he campaigned for candidates in conservative states, not liberal ones.

“Christie was not an attorney general, he wasn't a US Attorney for 13 years, and he tried, convicted and sent to jail a boatload of corrupt politicians.”

I didn't say he was a U.S. Attorney General. He was an Attorney General for NJ for 13 years. In that time he only tried and convicted 5 ILLEGAL aliens and supports sanctuary cities. What corrupt politicians did he send to prison? I don't remember hearing about him sending his friends to prison. Name them.

“So what you are shouting simply is not true.”

I am speaking the truth. You're lying about him and ignoring what you don't want to hear about him. The truth about him is not good.

“I’ve watched conservatives grit their teeth and shout against GOP candidates and all they can possibly get us is more pro tax pro gay marriage pro corruption anti death penalty Corzine.”

I didn't vote for Coraine. One of the problems is that Republicans keep putting RHINO’s like Christie in there. That is why I am saying HOLDING THIS GUYS FEET TO THE FIRE - preempt his RHINO agenda NOW.

“So lower yoir voice and use your head I’d like to know why you aren’t shouting against Corzine?”

I will do no such thing. I am sick of RHINOS and tired of RHINO apologists like YOU. Christie is not much better than Corzine. NJ deserves better. NJ deserves better than Christie but once again, braindead New Jersians have a doofus for a GOPer - what I am stating again is hold this guys feet to the fire. Make him do what is right instead of going down the RHINO trail again.

Please review above who you think Chris Christie is, then please see his biography below and then please admit that you don’t know who or what you are talking about. Thank you.

CHRISTIE, Christopher; born Newark, NJ; B.A., Political Science, University of Delaware, 1984; JD, Seton Hall University School of Law, 1987. Partner, Dughi, Hewit and Paltucci; US Attorney, District of New Jersey, 2002-2008; Freeholder, Morris County, 1995-1997; Director of the Board of Freeholders, Morris County, 1997.

Just to be really clear because I’m sure you are not going to compare what you said to Chris Christie’s ACTUAL biography.

Your statement that Christie was an attorney general for NJ for 13 years is completely inaccurate. He was the US Attorney for NJ for 6 years. Further he has sent many many politicians to prison you are so confused i’m not wasting my time “naming them” do some research.

During his tenure, Christie’s office won convictions or guilty pleas from 130 public officials, both Republican and Democratic, on the state, county and local levels without losing a single case.[8]

Among Christie’s more notable prosecutions are the 2003 conviction on corruption charges of Essex County Executive James W. Treffinger.[9] and his 2008 convictions of State Senators Sharpe James[10] and Wayne R. Bryant.[11].
