I like Hugh a lot, but can't he do anything in moderation?

The Gates of Fire is a great book. Just finished it a week or so ago. It is about the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae.
One of the main (fictional) characters is Dioniches, whose famous phrase (in real life)was recorded by Herodotus; when warned that the Persians had so many archers that their arrows would blot out the Sun, Dioniches replied...
“Well then, we will fight in the shade.”

Hugh Hewitt puts me to sleep, listening to his show is like watching paint dry in a humid climate....
Sorry, but that is how I feel every time I listen to him.

What? Hugh “is” the squashy middle of the GOP.

Hugh’s show has always been RINO central in my view.

Hugh is definitely on the right side of the political spectrum.

I've never caught one. Count yourself lucky. I'd rather listen to Barney Frank recite 1000 Bottles of Beer on the Wall.

I agree. Thor, as a writer, is a pale imitation of all of the other “comic book thriller” writers in the Clive Cussler mold.
If I’m going to read comic books, they should have colorful pictures, at least.
If Thor takes more than a month to write a thriller novel, it sure doesn’t show.

HH was an open borders pro-amnesty RINO until his callers literally pummeled him into backing away from that squishy country club position.

Hugh is definitely on the right side of the political spectrum.By his own admission Hewitt is "center-right."
The guy's a Constitutional Law professor but occasionally he will come down from the Ivory Tower and get it right on an issue.
In my opinion he is a Republican before he is a conservative.

And it was the Republicans that lost us the last election and continue to by not showing any spine and engaging in the debate.

By his own admission Hewitt is "center-right." Yes. I've heard him say that many times. I agree with him most of the time.

I don’t think his show is carried in my area anymore. No loss. I never liked the guy.

Hugh Hewitt is definitely squishy, he is barely to the right and devotes his show to moving conservatives always to the left just a little smidgen more every day.
Hugh Hewitt is truly a Mitt Romney type guy.

The problem with a character driven series is that they often grow stale. Best to have a few that you can work with and you can riff off their personalities.
Plus, how friggen cliched is the ex-Navy Seal/Delta Force/Spec Ops super action figure theme?
