Sally feels like she’s entitled to trash Sarah because she has a “special needs” son by the man she trapped away from his wife when she was his secretary.

One needs to do little more than read all the comments at the WaPo website to see the monumental task Sarah Palin has to be taken seriously by enough people in this country to get elected.

If you could win by the radical devotion of 30% of the population, she’d be a shoo-in. But you have to get 50%+1 of the vote (or 49%+being a democrat) in order to win an election.

However she does it, Sarah is going to have to figure out how to overcome the horrible opinion the media gave the country about her, and I can only hope she has a plan for that because, in my opinion, her resignation did nothing to improve her standing with anybody who didn’t already love her.

And it’s not an ignorant opinion — can anybody cite a single article written where someone says they didn’t support Palin before, but now that she resigned they would vote for her?

Yeah. Because WaPo commenters are obviously representative of America at large. </sarcasm>

This old ho. She broke up the second marriage of Benjamin Bradlee (former Washington Post editor) when she was working for him, and had a son by him when she was 41. Their son has a learning disability, VCFS (Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome), that wasn't diagnosed until he was 14 years old, according to Wikipedia. Some great mother! -- she didn't even notice until her child was almost through school age. VCFS is "the second most common syndrome after Down Syndrome".

As a native of Washington, I can tell you that Sally Quinn has never much cared whom she offends. Here's a recent stick-in-the-eye to Catholics -- according to Wikipedia,

In June 2008, the Catholic League issued a press release highly critical of Quinn for taking communion at the funeral mass for journalist Tim Russert. In an On Faith blog posting on the Washington Post website, Quinn—who is not a Catholic—wrote that she was "determined to take [communion] for Tim, transubstantiation notwithstanding" and that she "had a slightly nauseated sensation" after taking it. Catholic League president Bill Donohue responded that "Quinn's statement not only reeks of narcissism, it shows a profound disrespect for Catholics and the beliefs they hold dear." Since the incident, Quinn's judgment as moderator of On Faith has come under question by media commentators, including columnist Ramesh Ponnuru, who wrote that "if [Quinn] does not understand the affront she gave then perhaps regularly blogging about religion for a major news outlet is not the right job for her."

Yeah, yeah, we know Charles....you've already put your chips on Romney, and gosh darnit! nothing is going to change your opinion of Palin. Some of us question your judgement on how ignorant it is.

I encourage the media to continue to expose themselves as the people are becoming more and more concerned about the TRUE NATURE of 0bama and his media minions. It has only become more and more apparent.

'Sarah will do just fine.....she has God on her side."

I don't presume to know with what party God's affiliated. Neither should you.

Sally doesn't believe it because NO ONE would ridicule HER child...NO ONE.....the RIGHT doesn't do those kind of things, and since they are the left the left wouldn't do that to them.

Hey Sally....if you and your husband had been on the RIGHT......YOU and YOUR SON would have been RIDICULED from now til forever!

Just add another old bag, namely Sally Quinn, to the long list of what has now become known as the “pad throwers.”

This is an absolute bleeping crock of horse@#%t.

I don't believe it for a second.

Then you haven't been looking.

Many right-wing Christians don't believe women should work outside the home.

More crap. "Many" don't believe that women should work outside the home. "Many" don't have a problem with that at all. They aren't a monolithic group, dummy.

I think Palin's decision to resign is fairgame, but the family attacks are wrong, damn wrong. What's in Sally Quinn's past? I'm sure there's a few skeletons. What has her kids done. They are "fair game" in her minds.

I think we all need to hire a bunch of PI's and dig up as much dirt on the media and blast it on the air over and over and over again.

"Quinn is married to Benjamin C. Bradlee, the former editor of the Washington Post, her former boss. "

Damn....in my line of work, sleeping with my boss (clients) is cause for losing my license. Conflict of interest.
