You don’t think private clubs should be able to exclude people because of their race?

I think we should CONDEMN it, but not make it illegal.
People should ALWAYS have the freedom to associate with anyone they want, but the state should have no part in preventing or promoting it.

I think I wouldn’t want to associate with someone who doesn’t want to associate with someone because of their race.

I do believe a private club should be able to exclude people for any reason their members determine. I also believe that people who decide to exclude others based on skin color are stuck on stupid.
IMO, this was not a matter of the the club's right to exclude members. This was a matter of 'a deal is a deal'. The club made a deal to allow non-member children to swim...and then, they decided they didn't like the deal and kicked the kids out. Now maybe more kids showed up than the club expected, maybe the kids were louder and more disruptive than the club anticipated...but that is the club's problem...and they handled it badly. They should have honored the deal they made, and asked the manager who made the deal some hard questions.
