Cash-strapped states have used federal stimulus dollars to close short-term budget gaps and avert major tax increases but generally have not directed the money toward long-term expansion, according to a new report released on Wednesday.

No, absolutely not. My colleague just spoke with a western builder of log homes. Companies that built log homes are either out of business, going out of business or just a few are struggling really bad because the banks aren’t lending money.

Working? It was never intended to “stimulate” our capitalist economy and that is proven by the FACT that it has not. Just a socialist government taking wealth from the public sector. That is all it has accomplished, or was ever intended to accomplish — given that it is just part of the total picture of a socialist takeover of the American Republic.

This is not a jobs bill. I work with small to medium business owners every day. The POTUS, Richard Head, continues to loose jobs.

Hussein is succeeding at doing exactly what he set out to do!

The money wasn’t meant for the people. It was meant to strangle the people.

Americans of all parties need to unite and rid ourselves of these dirtbags. They are not there to help anyone but themselves.

63 percent of the funds committed so far went straight to expanded Medicaid coverage. Another 13 percent went to subsidizing government schools and state welfare programs.

They are working feverishly to permanently expand the welfare constiuency to ensure they stay in power forever. Anyone here think expanded Medicaid, welfare and school subsidies will go away once the ‘stimulus’ program is over?

“Uh, Hi, ACORN? Yeah, Uncle Sugar here. Listen, you know that 600 billion we gave to your constituents last year? Well, that was only temporary you know. It won’t be there next year. Hello?”

Ergo - my vote is “HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Stop it! Yer killin’ me!”

Is the Stimulus working?

It appears to be staying at 96% "No". Check out the DNC talking point in response to Minority Leader Boehner's saying VP Biden is lying about the stimulus and the economy:

The Democratic National Committee, meanwhile, released a web ad this morning blasting Boehner on the stimulus.

"Fact is, John Boehner supported the Bush economic policies of the past eight years that brought our economy to its knees," the ad says. "Now John Boehner is using baseless attacks to mislead the public about the success of the Recovery Act."

These people are so far out of touch with the rest of America. Hopefully this will impact the 2010 Congressional elections.

SO....just after Barry was elected, McCain went rushing back to Washington (or WORSHington as he says) and suspended his campaign to "help" - Barry phoned it in, never came back to Washington except for a brief meeting (with Bush and his cabinet) where Barry was less than responsive and far from helpful.

Barry knew, and Slow-Joe agrees, that they misjudged the condition of the economy. I recall Barry saying that the economy was the worst since the great depression, and now claims things are worse yet?

OK, so when he was invited to "learn" what was going on, he takes a pass in order to continue the sucking up the adulation of the roaring crowds (and cheering press) on the campaign trail - this is worse than saying the 'dog ate my homework', this is malfeasance.

This is important to remember. When you are dealing with politicians you are dealing with liars, cheaters and robbers. Every time their lips move it is probably a LIE. Every time budgets are overspent and defict spending occurs you are being CHEATED by the devaluation of your earnings and savings. Every time some new law or regulation is passed you are being ROBBED of more of your freedoms.

Politicians are politicians because of huge ego’s. They love adulation. They love power and control over others. They love the money and the perks. They care only about themselves and being elected or re-elected and sell their souls for votes daily.

These are the people running our Nation. It is no wonder that we are in such a mess. Wake-up Americans and vote these liars, cheaters and robbers out of office before our Nation is no more.
