I believe the scenario is the President declares a "National Emergency", and promulgates rules and regulations as executive orders. Various federal agencies are told to take certain steps. Some of these may include incarceration of entire groups of people, and internment in these camps.
Presumably Eric Holder (fascist, idiot) will have prepared the list of "Terror Watch List Suspects" and some combination of DHS, BATF, FBI, Marshall's Service, EPA Goons, and whoever else is a happy little fascist Jack Booted Thug will get in on the round-up of political prisoners.
But it could never happen here. (Isn't that what my relatives on Poland said?) ....
You’re absolutely right, it all hangs on the definition of emergency.
RATS would have to decide if they want to pull a stunt like that for whatever kicks it would give them knowing that their days in office would be numbered if they did.
I dont see it happening, but like you say, anything is possible.
