Believe me, it’s difficult from the management side in that you feel like a real ass for wasting the interviewer’s time and getting their hopes up.

I was once the 'perfect candidate' for a project and two hours into the assignment the bean counters E_MAILED my manager and informed him that the funding was pulled!

I was impressed by the professional way the manager handled it. Damn bean counters seem to have no respect for anyone!
