“71% of Republicans would vote for Palin if she ran in 2009.”
So... 29% of Republicans prefer Obama to Palin?
On what grounds do they call themselves Republican?
There is more than one Colin Powell out there?
Sorry. Not buyin’ it.
Don't forget the main RINO contingent: Romney Bots and Hucksters.
There is more to numbers than your interpretation. Put me in the camp that believes quitting anything is wrong. (call it "resigning" if you prefer -- that's a semantic argument and a distinction without a difference.) I also don't like Obama.
To be honest, until the Congress and the Senate grow a backbone, it really won't matter who the President is. A Republican majority with no spine will play nicey-nicey to the Democrats, a Republican minority will be trampled on. Either way its another economic disaster looming.

Nothing in the article supports your contention that 29% of Republicans support Obama.
Nor does this article supprot your contention.

In fact I haven't yet found the full list of the poll questions.
I take it to mean that 29% of Republicans have another candidate in mind, not that they support Obama.
