Republican candidates lead Democrats for the second straight week in the latest edition of the Generic Congressional Ballot.

Speaking of generic things, Generic Website is real.
Now all we need to do is find some Republicans who are willing to run.
We should be up +15 and we need to get rid of the RINOs.
Are they factoring in the following?
1. the millions of illegal aliens who’ll be eligible to vote in two years
2. the felons who’ll be eligible to vote in a few years
3. the ACORN factor of voter intimidation, threats, violence, and crooked vote counting
4. the refusal to count most of the military ballots
5. the counting of ballots found in trunks of cars as in the Franken case
6. the votes of dead people that the democrats will surely count
If the above factors are included (which I doubt they are), and if things still look optimistic, then WHOOPIE! (I don’t mean GOLDBERG). Frankly, I don’t think we stand a chance because of the above voting fraud.
I think we’ll have some good candidates in 2010. With Obambi’s and the dems’ numbers going down it should make recruiting good Repub candidates for national and State offices a lot easier.
Considering the MSM’s incredible bias, I’ll take Repubs +3, but your point is well taken.
Yes! And where is the Republican party in all this.
My two senators, Snow and Collins voted for the stimulus package that included hundreds of millions of dollars for groups like Acorn.
i’m tired of this “get rid of RINOs and then we win” lunacy. have you ever thought about this beyond one sentence rants on FR?
Libs are now in power and they did not get there by getting rid of their centrists/blue dogs. Instead, they run pro-life, pro-gun candidates in purple and red districts and they won. The party leadership and policy is 100% liberal.
I would wage only <20% of voters are conservatives according to your strict definition. (In polls, 35-40% identify them as some sort of conservatives). You can’t win elections if you rule out the 80% of population.
So, your idea is to insult and harass the 80% population and and get rid of those candidates. Yeah, that’s the winning message. No wonder GOP is in turmoil.
Running for example Guliani in NY would be great senate pickup opportunity for conservatives.
Rudy is okay because he is a lib state and he is RINO-Lite but Juan McCain, sassy Miss Lindsay Graham-nesty and Charlene Crist are in more conservative states and need to go.
"We're" winning? Do you mean conservatives or Republicans?
The generic ballot says "Republican".
ok, this makes more sense. I certainly agree that in red states we can and should get rid of rinos.
also, I can live with candidates who are not 100% perfect but if they advocate permanent destruction (ie amnesty, leading to permanent liberal welfare state status) they should be opposed. Not voting for tax cut is something that can be corrected in the future, but voting for amnesty is permanent.
Republicans are winning, and I, like most on this site are conservative Repubs.
“So, your idea is to insult and harass the 80% population and and get rid of those candidates. Yeah, thats the winning message. No wonder GOP is in turmoil.”
Very well stated, thank you.
I live in MN were ballots for Franken were “found.”
Our SOS is an ACORN extension.
There is also SOS that are or have been ACORN members
It's high time to put the national light on ACORN.
Even though I want the socialists out of power... I don't want the republicans to save -5bama’s butt like they did Bill Clintons.
If the republicans retake the house they will probably cut taxes and spending asap, and -5bama will get all the credit for the resulting balanced budget and shrinking deficit.
Plus, I sort of like democrats in total charge atm, because this way they get total blame. I would almost rather the republicans “almost” retake the house and senate in 2010, setting up a clean sweep in 2012 of the entire socialist rabble inhabiting the house, senate, and white house.
And, still, the Republicans in Congress are cowering in a corner -- wanting to "work together" -- while the RNC is consumed with defeatism and argues the party must become "more liberal" (what they really mean: "less conservative").
The opportunity for GOP success is there. And the odds are steadily improving.
And I fear they can't see it. Or don't know how to take advantage.
