I wrote to Ike Skelton, laying out solid arguments for voting against C&T but the old fool voted for it anyway, saying he was protecting farmers from the EPA or some such rot.
Today, I posted a follow up letter, reiterating the job losses, higher gasoline and utilities this will cause. Like many in DC, Ike has never held a job outside of government and thus he believes he's part of the permanent ruling class. The only way a lot of these government bow wows will leave Washington is feet first.

The only way a lot of these government bow wows will leave Washington is feet first. I'm betting that that's going to start happening pretty soon in larger numbers than anyone expects.

There is only one thing these fools will understand, and that's opposing them every way possible in the next election. Support a Democrat with time and $ to oppose them in the primary, and when that doesn't work, support a Republican in the general. Or vise versa. That's the only thing they will hear. They, Republicans and Democrats, stopped listening to us long ago because they feel secure that they will leave feet first. If nothing else, give them a scare!
