DUBLIN — The United Nations is struggling to keep its peacekeeping missions staffed and supplied as the world endures an unprecedented combination of crises, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday as he opened a two-day visit to Ireland.
"We are living through an era like no other. There are multiple crises: a food crisis, fuel crisis, flu crisis and financial crisis," Ban told an invited audience at the Dublin Castle conference center in between meetings with the president and prime minister of Ireland.
"Each is a crisis we have not seen for many years, even generations. But this time they are hitting the world all at once. We have never seen any era when we have been hit by all these multiple crises at the one time," Ban said.

When the U.S. is worse than broke, but many trillions of dollars in debt, why are we continuing to send our tax dollars to this nest of snakes? They should have to sit in the dark and freeze this winter...or hope global warming will keep them warm.
I thought the environmental crisis was going to obliterate entire nations and kill half the population? What happened to that? Who can think about finances and fuel when a 200-foot wave is coming straight for us???

Same MO the Democratic Party is employing domestically, the U.N. employs internationally (although to be fair, as for the U.N. many of the crises they create are the result of blundering incompetence as much as lust for power).
I work with a guy that used to work for the UN. I detest him and his egocentric, globalist, bureaucratic views and methods. He actually told the people who work for him that they should pronounce someone’s name in the accent of the country they are from.
