I must give The Huffington Post's contributor Lisa Derrick some credit for coming here and responding to a rebuttal of what I consider a whiny post about Tea Party activists carrying signs comparing Barack Obama to Adolph Hitler.
"Godwin's Law is the last resort and not something I condone by either party. I am curious if the Duval County Republican Party did not wish to endorse or support the views of those comparing Obama to Hitler, why did their Director of Social Media Stephen Butters post those picture to their Facebook page?. They have been removed, but you can see all of them at http://lafiga.firedoglake.com/2009/07/05/is-it-free-speech-hitlerobama-comparisons-at-republican-promoted-tea-bagging/ where the facebook tags are very clearly attached."Surely if Ms. Derrick didn't condone the use of Godwin's Law, she couldn't have written her piece because to do so, in all fairness, she would have performed the rather simple search I did and found that the left has been engaged in this tactic long before its counter use at a anti-tax tea bag rally.
Also her use of the term "teabagging" reveals a partisan agenda, so let's be blunt. "Teabagging" means lowering your balls onto a woman's face. If her intent wasn't to write a blanket partisan hit piece, then that term wouldn't have been used.
I wouldn’t compare Barack Hussein Obama to Hitler. Hitler didn’t need use of a teleprompter. Hitler could write some words on a piece of paper and give a half hour speech from that (a gift he shared with Lenin).
The left mocks the right when (I think legitimately given Obama’s crap treatment to Israel) comparing Obama to Hitler by asking sarcastically “Do you really think Obama wants to kill all the jews?” and yet that question was NEVER formed to a protester with Bushitler was bantied about for 8 years.
