California - a model for U.S. economy?

A policy advisor with the American Council on Science and Health says America is being "flushed down the toilet" with California.

The Golden State recently obtained a federal waiver that will allow it to impose some of the most severe standards on greenhouse gas emissions, essentially setting the stage for those standards to be imposed on the rest of the U.S.

Dr. John Dale Dunn, a published writer and lecturer on American environmental and health policy, explains what that waiver portends.

"And so as a result, California standards on auto emissions are now going to be national standards," he notes. "And...they've managed to get the auto industry to agree to it -- to dismiss all of their lawsuits against the California Environmental Protection Agency and to essentially acquiesce to California's standards."

The greenhouse gas standards in California, according to Dunn, have essentially destroyed that economy and outraged her citizens, as evident in the current budget crisis.

"It's essentially allowing the fools in California to decide what's going to happen to the economy of the United States," he points out. "And it's already going in the toilet in California."

He adds that due to California's mild climate, they are out of touch with the energy needs of other regions such as the Northeast, and to let that state call the shots is disastrous.

California is a model of what not to do.

Letting leftest fools have control of spending leads to bankruptcy. They whine that all the problem stem from the inability to increase taxes when the simple fact of the matter is Californians pay just about the highest taxes in the country. There isn't a revenue problem, there's a massive spending problem.

They have let the illegals come in and turn large swaths of CA into a third world slum. Buy, hey, at least the air is clean—right?

Only when frijoles are not being served to Pancho and his large anchor-baby family. Otherwise, phew.

If we eliminate the illegal Mexicans we can keep our flatulating cows.

If the “cap and trade” legislation passes, it may be time for states like Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma to assert the doctrines of nullification and interposition that were used in the case of the Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions which stated that the Federal Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798 were not to be enforced in their states.

California: Where the wages are going down and the cost of CA cars will be going up, soon nobody in CA will be able to afford car. Yeaaa, CA fixed global warming.

Letting leftest fools have control of spending leads to bankruptcy.

Our nation is being murdered by the gaggle of leftist imbeciles who are now taking the final steps to effect the death of the United States of America.

This past Independence Day was a farce to many of us as we know that at the speed a bloated central government is shoving us we'll soon have no freedoms.

If the central socialist government was introduced to a leader who immediately would take a giant meat axe and slash all extraneous departments including the large Congressional staffs and void all the changes made by these criminals then we'd stand a chance of survival.

It appears that the only way that will be accomplished is to overthrow the gluttons and be ruled by a benevolent, right-wing despot for a decade or so.

Don't look to the wimpish, pansy Republicrats to save the nation....they haven't the guts for it.

California is the template model for Liberal Nirvana, so they will never let it go down the tubes. It will get a bailout which will become the start of CWII.
