All Sound, No Fury
What will Obama's visit to Moscow really accomplish?

Translators were baffled by Vladimir Putin's recent response to President Obama. Leading up to his summit in Moscow, Obama had announced that the Russian premier had one foot in the old way and one foot in the new. "We cannot stand vraskoryachku," Putin replied in a steely voice.
This rarely used idiom means "an awkward position," but even native speakers didn't quite know how to visualize it. For some, it evoked nonconsensual sex. For others, it suggested bowleggedness. The best translation was posted by a BBC Russian Service producer on Facebook: one leg here, one leg there, with the bottom asking for trouble.
The mysterious elocution came in handy for reporters wondering what to write about on the eve of Obama's visit to Russia, as they tried to decipher the true nature of U.S.-Russian relations.
While the countries gave every appearance of concordance at Monday's meeting, the reality is that they are vraskoryachku--neither friends nor enemies. In truth, they hardly have a relationship at all.

No fear for Obama. The msm will say the trip was a resounding success with much accomplished. Then go on the bash Bush.
Hopey changey .... What i flippin laugh riot.
How about that handshake on Drudge. Talk about body language! “Peace in our time.”
I disagree comrade... ;-)
I think ol’ Putey-Pute just eviscerated the Obamas with a rare Russian triple entendré, myself.
One directed at Bam’s rumored proclivities, one at Michelle’s unusual physique, and one blast at Obama’s juvenile and feeble attempt at divide and conquer by presuming to pit Medvedev against Putin himself.
It’s not such a mystery if viewed in this way. Quite crude, as Russians can be at times, but also oddly elegant.
I fear that Obama will give away the store to the tag team of Russian Leaders. Look for all sorts of “great new ideas”—we can get cheap gas from Russia! We have new friends in the Kremlin—as long as we play ball with them and turn a blind eye to the occasional bloodbath. Their will be much laughter in the Kremlin and Vodka will flow. Watch as within 6 month Russian Imperialism will be on the march in places like Africa and South America. Enjoy the new Russian Vodka and other trade goods that will be coming into the USA but—don’t trust them as far as you can toss them.
Russia is no less dangerous, and perhaps in some ways moreso, now that it’s a mafia-run fascist state. Still has nukes and a large military, but now with an even bigger chip on their collective shoulder.
Actually, it will accomplish three things - you forgot that it will allow MO and the chillen to see Russia and to be seen!! She’s working on things to add to her resume for her next job.
0zer0 is trying to straddle the fence. My experience is when you straddle the fence, all you get is a sore crotch. You need to either get on the safe side and be a bystander. Or get on the side with the action and be a participant.
0zer0 has only shown that he is a bystander in world affairs. He is no leader of the free world.
Barrack Hussein Obama = The Neville Chamberlain of our time!
And that's exactly how I see the ‘breakthrough’ Obama et al are going to claim for this trip. We're going to hear all sorts of crowing about what a great feat Obama has pulled off, so much more impressive than Dubya could do in eight years. Get ready, here it comes!
