The way the Associated Press is fawning over Michelle Obama and her supposed sense of fashion, you would almost think they were talking about Carla Bruni who really does dress quite elegantly and oozes glamor. To add to this absurdity, the AP also went out of its way to paint the Russian First Lady as frumpy. Um, advice to AP personnel; don't expect the Russians to go out of their way to help you in your stories in that country after that gratuitous slam on the wife of their president. First let us watch the AP's Catrina Stewart act dazzled over the "superstar glamor" of Michelle Obama:
MOSCOW (AP) - Michelle Obama brings her superstar glamor to Moscow this weekend as she accompanies her husband on his summit with the Russian president.
But the American first lady, who has wowed publics in the U.S. and Europe with her easy elegance and charm, will perhaps face a bigger challenge in winning over a Russian public that has scant respect for women who grab the limelight from their powerful husbands.

It's hard to believe that so many of our Countrymen are such Useful Idiots. Barry and Rahm must be laughing themselves silly every night.
lol- the picture’s been altered.
I was kind of thinking the same thing. I'm guessing she just has really, really, really bad taste. It is gawd awful I tell ya. The amazing thing is the bulk of the MSM falling all over themselves to talk about how glamorous she is. WHAT???!!!!
This has got to be the worst dress she's worn as far as macerating her *cough* figure.
I couldn’t link to the one from the Glamour awards that I really liked which was with the lovely satin(silk?) wrap that went with the gold/brown gown. Really elegant and pretty.
Do this dog make my azz look big?
ROFL!
HAHAHA!
I’ll take the Russian lady please.
Michelle is doing everything wrong if she's striving to be a trendsetter. She is "costume-y," dressing so very WRONG for her body-type and age, mixing fabric weights and textures sort of ignorantly, not considering fabric and style photogenic qualities, inability to marry personal style with station/event appropriateness (which most any "lady who lunches" has a clue about,") and on and on and on. She is just doing it...wrong. And the Kool-Aid drinkers are CO-DEPENDENT in her continuance of the clownish costume-ry.
She looks very nice there in the last shot ... and normal.
Mrs. Medvedev is very classy.
LOL, you guys have had me laughing for 15 min. reading this thread....thx!
Thanks for posting those pretty ones, visops. I have a suit very similar to the black one with gold ornamented buttons Condi has on—the one with the longer jacket/coat—except my jacket is about six inches shorter (but still a few inches longer) than the skirt. I wish that mine was longer like hers. MUCH cooler. Thanks again for the pics.
Always listen for the sounds of stressed wire cabling. It just may save your life.
AND stressed belts.
*puke* Persoanlly I thought the Russian first lady looked wonderful compared to our bumpkin.
