A very wise friend suggested to me that Obama's second term is an inevitability. I have to take issue with him because it seems all too clear to me that the president has abandoned the ironclad strategy for victory. What he should have done was to dedicate himself to fixing the banking/financial system, to restore its foundations, to bring about better rules, and to restore public confidence in the lifeblood of the system. Had he done that, eight years would have been a foregone conclusion.
Instead, he has made the financial system an interesting sideline to go along with his attempts to bring about the eschaton through salvific, wishing-makes-it-so public policy. His current path stands a decent chance of returning the nation to stagflation. And no politician can wear that millstone and make it look good.

Yeah, Obama will lose in a landslide if he’s not disqualified from office first.
If he continues on his path to Marxist hell, millions of unemployed people will be screaming for his head by 2010.
Marshall Law will be declared around the 2012 election to keep Obama in office, either due to a real or manufactured threat to the homeland. Remember, the World ends that December 21, 2012. ... j/k
L'ego of my eggo!
Japan has been in recession/depression for 19 years now, under much the same economic policies as Obama is instituting. It's unlikely that a Republican Congress, all on it's own, can make the kinds of changes than need to be made. In fact, it's unlikely that a Republican President and Republican Congress can make the changes, unless there is someone out there with Reagan-like charisma. Which I don't see. Expect a game of political "musical chairs" every 2-4 year for the next 20 years. Nobody has the fortitude to actually fix the problems. Things will not get back "on track" any time soon.
You're right.
Once Obama names an election czar, his reelection is all but a certainty.
So what are you saying, he gets to appoint the head of ACORN? ;)
Thus, we can rebrand the democrat party as the Stagflation Party.
My apologies to those who enjoy stag parties.
Please eschew obfuscation.
jimmuh carter wore that stagflation millstone around his scrawny neck AND had the press running interference for him, too. As it turned out, the press was powerless in ‘80.
Americans voted their pocketbook not just in ‘80, but also in 2008.
With the mathematical certainty of stagflation’s return, Americans will vote their pocketbook again in 2012, regardless of the media and ACORN-style vote fraud. It bodes ill for Wussybama!
Who says hell make it that far? Once he loses the house or senate all holds are off.

You’re assuming that there will be honest elections. And...By then he will have stacked the courts in his favor as well.
We cant wait until 2012! We need his Marxist/Muslim a$$ kicked out NOW- before he finishes destroying America!

You forgot to add “illegal” and “criminal fraud” to your list of pejoratives.
My lib naighbor is furious over Zero, she cuts hair for a living and says people are regreting voting for zero. Business is slow, people are waiting longer to get hair done, so she makes less money. She even called him zero. I was speechless.
Who are we going to put up against Obama in 2012? Somebody better come up with a name fast. And, no, it’s not Sarah Palin.
???? You sure you meant that to go to me? Your comment seems to bear no relation to my comment whatsoever.
"Dude is way over thinking this. Its bec he is a scum sucking socialist loser."
Obama has said from the first he only considers the financial situation a distraction that was keeping him from his real agenda;
well now we’re learning just what that agenda is.
