...one of the most prominent religious leaders in the country...

Really? I never heard of him until he hosted an Obomba interview and tossed cream puff questions at him.

A-Hole.
If he wants to see how Muslims can work with Christians he should ask Brigette Gabriel, any Copt, or CHristian Sudanese and Nigerians.

His “religion” is globalism.

Yes, but he has the trait apparent in many Americans and their leaders: the desire to be liked by his opponnents, but who are Warren’s opponents? As you say, he is really known in just a few circles. But he surely likes Obama.

Warren said Muslims and Christians should be partners in working to end what he calls "the five global giants" of war, poverty, corruption, disease, and illiteracy.

Seems to me that mohammedanism is a leading cause of war, poverty, corruption, disease, and illiteracy.

must work together to combat stereotypes and solve global problems.

Warren appears not to comprehend that from the perspective of Muslims the main global problem is how to most effectively convert the rest of the world to Islam -- by sword, by homicide bombing, or by nuclear detonations?

Apostle Paul: 1 Corinthians 2:2 - For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Rick Warren: Buy my book and do works of faith with Muslims.

Apostle Paul: 2 Corinthians 6:14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

Rich Warren: Buy my book and do works of faith with Muslims.

IMHO the disturbing thing about this is the active recruitment of an “evangelical” preacher into this agenda...strongly supports my concern about who REALLY bought Obama the White House

This illustrates the problem with this approach:

Ann Zahra, 42, said she had never heard of Warren before Saturday but agreed with much of his speech. "The basics are the same,"

No Ann, the basics are antithetical. I wish the pastor had explained them to you instead of chasing peace.

"The basics are the same," said Zahra, of McLean, Va. "No religion teaches cruelty or disrespect or hatred."

Of course not. That would make the false ones too easy to spot.

Satan knows human nature far too well for that.

He's not called the "Father of Lies" for nothing.

We are indeed living in an age of great demonic deception and delusion. In fact, the Bible clearly says of these last Laodicean days:

“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” (1 Timothy 4:1)

The signs of the times:
“...that great city (located in the Middle East), that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls.” (Revelation 18:16)

This is already here but not as prevalent at this time as predicted in God's Word:
“...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands...” (Revelation 20:4)

I began to be dubious about Rick Warren when I noticed several local churches advertising his ‘40 Days Of Purpose’ program at the same time. My own church did it, too. I figure that Saddleback, Inc. (or whatever they call it) made several thousand dollars just on my own church— one of tens of thousands of other congregations. Then combine that with book sales, hosting massive church conferences/conventions, etc. Somebody is raking in tens of millions of dollars.

It makes me wonder if the real focus is sales or evangelism. Stupid statements like this one makes me believe it is the former.
