What a shock that Maureen Dowd devoted her New York Times column Sunday to attack Sarah Palin. It did not so much criticize Alaska's governor for prematurely stepping down from her official duties as to finish off what sister snipers Katie Couric and Tina Fey began last fall.

For those who didn't pay attention, Mrs. Palin's unexpected stratospheric rise as a national political figure threatened the media's preordained presidency of Barack Obama.
In light of how the Obama machine took down Hillary Clinton, which unsettled many feminists who believed 2008 was their time, many who saw sexism at play - the destruction of an ascendant Republican female icon was an urgent imperative for the Democratic Party.
In conjunction with the laws of political correctness as perfected by the Democratic Media Complex, it would take prominent women to take down an unlikely and unexpected conservative feminist symbol that threatened to steal away Mrs. Clinton's votes from the Chosen One.
While the vanquished then-senator from New York conspicuously removed herself from this task - going so far as praising Sen. John McCain's running mate as "a very composed and effective debater" - a trio of media partisans, each with a unique skill set, rose to the task of tearing down Sarah Palin.
Misses Dowd, Couric and Fey - Obama's Angels (featuring Joy Behar in the role of "Bosley") - used a potent mix of mockery, snobbery and vitriol to undermine Mrs. Palin's feminist bona fides.
They are what my wife calls "pad throwers," an allusion to the shower room scene in the Stephen King film "Carrie," in which the popular girls throw sanitary napkins and tampons at the film's namesake.(continued at link)

I want Maureen Dowd, I mean Baghdad Boob, somewhere on camera when 40,000,000 angry voters are in the streets, tying up phone lines and the internet, with calls for “Sarah!”, “Sarah!”.
My two knee jerk reactions are:
#1 - What left wing blog site did Dowd steal this from?
And
#2 - it’s so cute that Dowd and her New York Times are still trying to act like they’re a serious media outlet.
Course, my third knee jerk reaction was: it’s the New York Times. If it wasn’t reported in other places no one would even have noticed this...
Let’s all trash Maureen Dowd’s family and see if she can take it. Oh, maybe Maureen doesn’t have a family to trash! So let’s trash her the way she & others have trashed Sarah Palin!
Do you think Dowd could handle half of what has been thrown at the Palins? HELL NO! And neither could any of the other so called reporters, analysts, commentators, etc.!
Payback is hell and one day these jerks are going to find that out! We need to start investigating the families and friends of these know-it-alls and putting all their dirty laundry in PRINT! Or, we could do what they do and just MAKE IT UP!

Behar even criticized Palin for wearing glasses. I couldn't believe it. What a bitch!
She is really loosing her looks fast, guess it's all that jumping in and out of bed with any and every one that is causing her skim to wrinkle.
She looks so old that when she walks into a room, people can smell dusty doilies.
I think that's great. My daughter wears her glasses far more than her contacts now. I don't dare ask if Palin has anything to do with it. I also wear glasses and can tell you when anti-Joy said what she did it burned my backside. She seems to think everyone should wear contacts.

She's only 57. She also seems to be single. Maybe all she needs is a good conservative husband to straighten her out. Who knows, maybe she'll hook up with Rush Limbaugh.

It sure is rich for karl-effing-rove, the worst presidential advisor in the entire history of the U.S. Presidency, to lecture/criticize Sarah Palin on her decision. This is the asshat that allowed the Bush WH to be destroyed by the media from July 2003(NBC News-16 words clipped to 10-plame-wilson) forward and allowed scott McClellan to stay for 3 years as WH press sec., allowing the media to slander/libel the honorable Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby et al. NEVER FIGHTING BACK. I CURSE HIM FOR THAT. He deserves scorn for the rest of his life. He hired and allowed dan bartlett, nicole”Palin-slanderer”devinish-wallace, steve schMITTROMNEY et al to be the voice of the Bush WH. I have daydreams of confronting him on the street, in a restaurant, and letting him know what I think.
The MSM knows that once she is out of the Public, she's private.
That means any Lie, Tale, or attack isn't protected by the Constitution
towards a public servant. It will be Slander pure and simple.
I hope Palin sues them all..
