Its a weird Washington insider perspective to be perplexed by what shes doing. Contrary to Mark Sanfords e-mails to his mistress, no one was really impressed with him; 99.99999999999999999% of Americans didnt know who he was. Who is more influential: Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge and Bill OReilly, or Tim Pawlenty, Bobby Jindal and Mark Sanford (before the fall)? As Palin said, God bless people who run for political office, but and she didnt say this part shes too big to be a lame-duck governor stuck dealing with fishing licenses in Anchorage right now.
People who don't get that entire paragraph are just not paying attention.

She’ll be much bigger now and can play on the national stage without constantly setting off state ethics investigations by loons, parasites and liberals. Two for one special with this one - Ann and Sarah!
Let me know if you'd like to be added to the Ann Coulter ping list.

As Palin said, God bless people who run for political office, but and she didnt say this part shes too big to be a lame-duck governor stuck dealing with fishing licenses in Anchorage right now. I guess Governor of Alaska isn't as important a job as it was during the election. I know it's not the popular thing to say, but I think Palin should have stayed and continued to be the best Governor in America.

I really like what I’ve seen of Sarah Palin. The left vigorously hates her and that makes me feel warmer towards her, but I will be watching closely how the Republican party treats her. I don’t trust them after they gave us John McCain. The Republican party has been so seriously infiltrated that if she’s a strong conservative like I suspect she is, she won’t get ten feet from the door. The faux republicans will put her through the shredder just like the media does. After all they tried to marginalize her when McCain lost. So we’ll see.
To: SolidWood
It’s refreshing to see a Romney supporter like Ann stand up for Sarah.
To: SolidWood
When Kerry and McCain ran for President without giving up their Senate seats, you got the feeling that they felt like they were owed a certain lifestyle and position, and that they would gladly risk leaving the voters of their state in the lurch in order to maintain them.
The right thing to do when running for higher office is to resign your current position and take your chances. That way the voters of your state have the opportunity to select your replacement in the normal fashion. If you win your run for higher office, everybody has a chair when the music stops. If you lose, you have to go out into the private sector after election day. This should not be such a horrible prospect.

It’s shameful that so many people on this site couldn’t figure this out for themselves. It’s even more shameful if they did get it, but just bashed Sarah because they’re supporting some other candidate. They’re no better than liberals.

It’s not only a matter of being too big to be dealing with fishing licenses but she has better things to do than fend off weenie ethics complaints for the next two or more years.
To: SolidWood
Beautiful analysis, Ann! Surprising how so many conservative pundits got this wrong.

If the 0 kids had been attacked in the MSM like the Palin kids MO would be in the offices slaying reporters with thigh crushes. Sarah took the high road. The supreme idiot Frank Lutz was on FNS this am say he thought Sarah should of stuck it out. Yet another data point proving Sarah did the right thing. The MSM should be ashamed (which they are not) of attacking a challenged kid less than two years old. Scumbags one and all.

Even though shes just a state governor, shes a HUGE national star who is both sought after and attacked as if she is already a president (a Bush, not an Obama). But she basically cant participate because shes tethered to the governors office up in Alaska. Consequently, she has to fight with one hand tied behind her back and she also cant go around the country campaigning for candidates and principles she believes in because shes governor and would be accused of neglecting the state. Exactly and exactly what the take I had. Good job Ann.

I think I will wait for Palin to explain Palin’s exit. Speculation is just that, speculation.
