You are sadly mistaken. History does not make history, nor statistics, statistics.

Both are the result of what was. Case in point. Just because HISTORY says it has never snowed in Houston for three straight weeks and statistics indicate that the likelihood of this ever happening is very remote.

Does not mean and cannot mean that it could not happen.
