What separation of church and state did LBJ do? We always supposedly had separation of church and state which is not the anti religion you see now but an appropriate separation so no religion is favored or established. LBJ to my memory didn’t do anything about that.

Congressman LBJ sponsored a bill which essentially stripped the churches of their freedom of speech by threatening their non-tax status if they got political.

1954 I believe.
