Sarah Palin -- All In
The American Thinker ^ | July 05, 2009 | Jay Valentine

Posted on 07/05/2009 2:55:49 AM PDT by Scanian

There is a point in tournament poker where one player doesn't have the chips to play out the next raise, but they have great cards, so they call "all in." At that point, nobody can raise them and the hand gets played out -- either to a game changing win or a total loss for the person who made the call.

It appears Sarah Palin decided she and her family could no longer deal with the thousand cuts, so she is "all in."

Palin may well decide to stay home and make macaroni and cheese for the kids, but history may not let her. She has already established herself as a major player -- candidate or not. More importantly, the wildly critical left has put her in a financial position where she has no choice but to speak out, perhaps do a book, and make the money she needs to pay legal bills for 15 unwarranted "ethics" investigations, all of which she handily won. The legal bills remain.

One doubts that when she speaks out, it will be about how to field dress a moose. Rather, she will take positions in speaking and writing about her core beliefs. That is a problem for the radical left of their own creation.

Palin enters the arena where the fight is not between liberal and conservative; nor is it between Republican and Democrat. The fight is between elite and the common person who works every day and continually asks how Washington D.C., under both parties, is so out of control.

Elitism has never been popular in America. Major American critics from H.L Menken to Rush Limbaugh made careers poking fun at elites.

Elitism is on display today as never before. Senate and Congressional seats are passed down in the family.

Since she won all her cases, it seems that equity would require the State of Alaska to pay. If such is not the case then, lets file ethics charges against all Democrat elected officials in Alaska and all other states with similar legal anomalies. What’s good for the gander is good for the geese.

We live in interesting times, and Sarah Palin is no dope. Ronald Reagan ran as an ordinary citizen after years of doing the rubber chicken circuit...(speeches before hundreds of groups of ordinary Americans.)

Sounds like a winner to me. Let's start with the infamous Congressman Jefferson. We know he's got the first $55 grand in legal expenses covered!

I want to know more about Al Gore's fundraising in 2000. Let's sue!

How about Obama's COLB cover-up, and his ties to ACORN? I smell rot there -- sue!

Sue everybody, sue them all the time, then sue them again!

Sue, sue, sue!

Lillian Hellmann played at that garbage with Mary McCarthy and got away with it (until she died, anyway). Now the Alaska 'Rats -- clearly instigated by the White House and the Greenie NGO's -- are doing the same thing.

Well, let's sue back -- starting with all that global-warming pseudoscience. Who helped keep the truth from the public? Nature magazine and the National Science Foundation and James Hansen and Al Gore? Sue, sue, sue!!!

That’s exactly what should be done. Perhaps we could add a new transitive verb to the lexicon, to “Palin” them.

That’s the ONLY language anybody in Washington understands anymore.....

Sarah is holding four aces. If the Repubs don’t strip themselves of the RINOs in the next year Sarah will start her own CONSERVATIVE party and will take the election in ‘12. Let the republicans have Steele and Powell and the Maine snow queens and Crist and etc. etc. and let’s start a REAL party, led by SARAH. Who do we nominate for VP?

I have a quewstion for those Legal Beagles out there......

Can’t She take some action against those who wrongfully accused her of Ethics violations for her expenses?

I agree this is really a master stroke. She can make more $$$ by going private sector for a couple of years and be shielded from baseless ethics investigations since she isn’t a public office holder.

Personally, if the DIM’s want to play the ethics game the PUB’s need to hit them back 10 times harder with ethics charges (presumably real violations) and carry them out to their bitter end.

IMHO..........

Hmmm, who would make a good veep for President Palin?
I wanna say Ann Coulter, just to see her thrash her democrat opposite in a debate.

And maybe a bust of Margaret Thatcher in the white house.

Ah, Sarah Palin's not the Short Stack and she's not being forced to go 'all in'. She has the most chips and she forcing the other players to go 'all in' or fold.

John Bolton (sp?) or Ollie North would work for me. There are others, but these two come to mind at first blush!

The gop hasn't done that. Just one more reason that it is called “the stupid party,” and the demonrats “the evil party.”

For years, the Dems - particularly David Bonoir, if memory serves - filed ethics charge after ethics charge after ethics charge against Newt Gingrich. I don’t recall his filing against them in kind, but he came up with a better plan .. taking over their House. Both Newt and Sarah are ‘out of the box’ thinkers with natural political gifts. Let’s see what she does now that she’s unleashed.

Yeah, but if you ask a libtard today, you’ll find that they believe Gingrich was driven from office by demonrats who “caught” him in ethics violations.

Today’s lie becomes tomorrow’s history.
