It was meant to be a show case for healthy living, with the first lady, Michelle Obama, personally putting hand to pitch fork in a crowd of school children to dig up the first White House vegetable garden in more than 50 years.
Instead, an embarrassed White House admitted today that the plot - whose lettuce, herbs and other produce have been consumed by the first family, visiting dignitaries, local school children and a women's homeless shelter - had tested positive for elevated levels of lead.
The White House would not say whether the Obamas or the children who had helped tend the garden would be tested for lead exposure.
I’m certain that many truck loads of composted soil were hauled in to fill up this 1,100 sq foot garden. Where did it
come from is the question and the key.

Bad, bad, bad.
Sorry, the Obama's were already that way long before this garden.

I can't find my ass with both hands!!

I wanna be witcha
And take your pitcha
“The smartest people of the last century drank all their water out of solid lead pipes, anyone doing bodywork vefore bondo breathed lots of lead dust, including myself, painters breathed lead paint when spraying, including myself, and sanded lots of lead paint. etc.”
WOW, scientific confirmation from an auto body repairman. I guess all that stuff about closing wells and removing lead from solder is all BUNK per the auto body guy.
Also the water in Baltimore is intentionally made alkaline to keep the lead from leaching from old solder joints before they cut allowable lead to a fraction.
Guess the body guy is smarter than everyone else!
So does it comes as a surprise that the obama’s are TOXIC TO LIFE ON THE PLANET??
I only did body work with lead when I was 8-15 years old when they came out with Bondo.
After graduating from college I spent 40 years running a construction company among other things.
I know a few humdred very inteligent successful people that have consumed lots of lead.
I’ll still spray it without a resperator, it don’t hurt you!
So I wonder who’s idea it was to check to see if there was lead there? And also who put it there.
It’s from the moonshine Barry made Michelle dump out.
Lead mostly likely from decades of leaded gas exhaust on Penn. Ave.
The EPA keeps lowering the levels deemed acceptable. Lead is a naturally occuring element and is everywhere. The amount found in this soil is low by any standard. The purpose of the article is what? Scare everyone, embarrassment, or do you just follow the money.
Next year these spoiled brats will truck in a few tons of lead free garden topsoil from the boondocks. But for now I’m laughing that they didn’t get the soil tested for lead.
I wonder what lead up this?
Were I married to Michelle, I’d eat everything on my plate and ask for more.
“Ill still spray it without a resperator, it dont hurt you!”
Lead does significantly more damage to children than it does adults.
Regardless, breathing that kinda garbage in is stupid to start with. Heavy metals, paint, and other toxic materials and the human body don’t mix.
AKA junk in the trunk for Michelle which is amazing since I’ve read numerous times what an exercise fiend she is and has a personal trainer and all.
She could get rid of it by walking a fast five miles each day. Takes 90 minutes. Outside is better but treadmill will do
This went out on the Associated Press wire. Assuming you are referring to major media outlets as “state run media,” you are just plain wrong. I saw it several places yesterday.
Elevated lead levels in DC? Maybe that explains the behaviour of our Federal Government. (The plants are only concentrating what is already in the soil...)
Ironic. . . .?
