Wow...timely post....let me share a few things I was defending Sarah Palin against this morning. I kept trying to push them towards issues, but they could not debate and issue. Here’s a sample:
1)
“Michael Jackson’s death ended the Iran revolution...Sarah Palin’s resignation has sent the news reporters on a express trip from Neverland to Wasilla... I am wondering what the next diversion is? Also my thoughts on Sarah Palin resigning ‘When the going gets tough...the tough get going...’ See Ya Maverick.”

It will die for the same reason that visceral hatred of Ronald Reagan died. It is unjustified. The people are brighter than they’re generally given credit for — they may buy into a trend, but if the trend doesn’t make sense, they’re pretty good about letting it go.
Obama’s popularity, like Jimmy Carter’s, may suffer the same “trend-bucking” fate.

My guess is that these “young” people couldn’t tell you one thing Palin stands for...much less discuss on any one specific issue she has promoted. Saturday Night Live and the main stream media are their only reference points.
That is what makes a state run media so dangerous. Propaganda only succeeds with an illiterate, lazy and uneducated populace.
Unfortunately, this country is full of people that have no true educational backgrounds. They are the products of failed government schools designed to not educate but rather indoctrinate.
I won’t elaborate the issue by discussing the USA ranking among other countries in the sciences, math and etc..other than to say we are not up there in the rankings with most western countries. It is not good.
Needless to say, don’t expect any remarkable discussions to come out of these people. They don’t know what the problems are much less how to fix them. Anything that comes out their mouths is something that someone else has told them to think.
And most importantly, they really don’t care one way or another about Sara Palin or anyone else for that matter. It’s all about them and their tiny non-focused worlds.

Mark Levin show from July 3rd is Worth listening to. I really think she is going to run.

Personally I think she is more like Regan than anyone else on the Republican scene and the Dems can see that in her. If she is ever allowed to do her thing for the national media it is over for the dems for the next 12-16 years and they know it so she must be destroyed and no one is allowed to stay from the heard on ths thought. It is very good to ask them why, it makes them try to think for themselves.I have one sister who always tells me she doesn’t want to talk to me because I make her think, I tell her GOOD!
You have a funny way of saying it. post 37. Using "can't stand the heat" and "quitter" are funny ways to show love. If I've mischaracterized you, I apologize.
She has the Rats sputtering ,they got blindsided by this and are saying everything negative Imaginable.
I think is time to move on and find a real leader. I feel bad in personal view for Sarah and her family. She should had never go through this garbage. Shame on one part of America! I think that she can never win over people who suffer with PDS and there’s a lot of them. MSM has done a good job promoting it!

You know what, I don’t hate SP.
She’s got a cornpone accent. Some of her mannerisms are cringe-inducing. She’s somewhat unsteady on her feet (rhetorically speaking). Her family does in some respects resemble something from a Tennessee Williams novel.
But she’s authentic. Most Americans have dysfunctional parts to their families, whether white, black, purple or other. She speaks like a person who’s held a real job, who has worried about paying the mortgage, who yearns for something better for her kids. And yes, when slandered, like most Americans (whatever their background), she fights back!
I don’t know if I agree with her resigning from her post. I hope she’s making the right decision. I’ll watch.
I just want to see her stick it to those self appointed elites who think (largely correctly) that they can call the tune while the rest of us dance.

I liked Sarah P. the first time I saw her on TV before being a VP candidate. Libs are scared to death of her, plain and simple. And the more they demonize her, the more it reveals about their hypocrisy.
She is a normal woman from a non-northern lib, ivy league, background who has achieved in her life. How did being governor of AK prepare Bill Clinton for World Politics? (Charlie Trie?)
Palin understands energy and has a state with a border right
next to our buddies from USSR.
What scares the libs to the core is she can appeal “unscripted and teleprompted” to the everyday citizens of the USA, even Reagan dems. When the effects of the Libs drunken-frat-boy-rush to socialism begin to become clear, there will be a push-back (vote libs out) they have never seen. That is why they fear her. And Franken is cool.

She shot herself in the foot politically by quitting. She has many great points, but she was not going to win over enough moderates to make 270. Remember Reagan Democrats?
Stating the obvious is not disliking.
I have a question for you.
What if she didn’t shoot herself in the foot at all, but will run for Senate somewhere?
If I remember correctly, the pundits all said she had ‘no senatorial experience’ so they called her naive and every other bad name possible. If she wants to run for a Senate seat, now would be the time to start. AND, if she gets a Senate seat, then she COULD run for President and would have the experience—about the same experience as Obama himself, if I remember correctly. (Correct me if I’m wrong...I don’t like researching Obama’s past, unless it’s to find the elusive birth certificate.)
I just wonder if that’s what prompted Sarah to quit—that and the huge bill she’s had to run up because of unfounded ethical lawsuits?
My original posting had nothing to do with her quitting the governorship job at all...I’m just tired of the derogatory names against her. You’d never hear Hilary Clinton being called some of those names.

This is the big question. If she's not running for office again, I understand her decision.

These brain-dead kids are not capable of thinking on their own...thanks to public ‘education’. They get their talking points from the entertainment world, and think that parroting what they hear makes them ‘cool’. (...or whatever passes for ‘cool’ nowadays...)
Wow. That’s really scary, when you think about it. It’s like an online lynch mob! It sounds like the ‘friends’ my daughter had on Facebook. Oh, and she un-friended them when they started using derogatory swear words on her page about Sarah—I didn’t know kids that age even KNEW some of those words (she’s a teenager...guess I should realize they know the words).
If I remember correctly, didn’t Obama’s people ask Sarah to make her listeners stop yelling ‘terrorist’ while attending her speeches? Where’s the left NOW that they’re using these horrible terms, too terrible to print, against Sarah?
