Why Do You Dislike Sarah Palin?
7/4/2009 | USAHOME

Posted on 07/04/2009 8:38:11 AM PDT by USAHOME

When my daughter came to me and told me her friends on Facebook were saying horrible things about Sarah Palin, I told her to get back online and ask them specifically why they were calling Sarah Palin names. Not one of them replied—they had no answer. They don’t know why they hate her, but they just do.

Sarah Palin did nothing wrong to these people, or to the rest of the United States. If she had a ‘D’ after her name, she’d be hailed a hero in the mainstream media. However, just because she stands for what’s right in America, believes in making our country energy independent (which is a GREAT thing), and believes that special needs children are a gift from God...but that makes her a bad person? I don’t understand what these people are thinking—other than they’re NOT thinking.

My goal is for just ONE person to actually think with their own mind instead of believing what they’re told to believe. If just one of these ‘friends’ of my daughter were actually forced to face the facts, with no political party behind Sarah Palin’s name, I’m certain they wouldn’t hate the woman. She’s more American than any of these people who are hating her in the mainstream media. I also think if these people were to actually research the facts on some of the people who were elected, whether eligible or not for their offices, they’d think twice about who they voted for and would join with the people who do use their brains.

I feel like I’m living in the Matrix. Just take the blue pill and everything will be wonderful, even though bad things are going on behind the scenes. Personally, I choose the red pill…and make informed choices. Oh yeah…and with those informed choices, I choose to like Sarah Palin. I wish I had half the guts she did, and were willing to stand up for what’s right, regardless of the consequences.

Palin AND the conservatives in 2012…I think our country would be a better place.

Happy Fourth of July! God Bless America!

I’ve been going through the Palin threads, and I keep seeing the same exact negative posters in them. It is quite astonishing. Usually, most people are satisfied with replying to one Palin thread, not to all of them.

A warning to the marketers out there: you are being watched.

It’s a good thing we have a forum like this to vent. Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air, the like of which is seldom if ever seen in politics. I have been astonished at the epithets thrown at her by left leaning liberal lemmings. I read one post that said She was ugly, another said she was stupid, and on and on. Perky Katie curick did a hatchet job on her and katie couldn’t tie Sarah’s shoes. It has often been said and we all know it’s dead true, If she were a Democrat they would throw roses at her feet. Go Sarah, whatever path you choose in the future I’m sure you will impact the political scene positively in spite of the liberal left leaning lemming media.

Most probably they hate her because they have been indoctrinated by the publik skools and the entertainment industry to hate freedom loving people.

The best thing we can do is get the federal gumment completely out of education and drive a big wooden stake in the self-esteem movement. The whole thing turns them into a pack of zombies always seeking acceptance, which the left usually defines the terms of.

This whole self-esteem stuff is the most diabolical teaching that has ever been sprung on the world. It will continue to erode America, creating mindless, arrogant, narcissistic, socialist chattel; without any accomplishments nor ability to think rationally enough to understand their serfdom. It’s the Matrix without the wires.

They dislike her because its trendy. Trends die. It will pass.

Exactly. But I'm not sure it will die until the opinion leaders give the signal.

The power libs hate her because she is a threat to them. But the ordinary person or young girl hates her because Saturday Night Live and David Letterman have indicated that it's the fashionable thing to look down on her.

I suspect that's especially true of the girls. I still remember my school days. Boys tend to follow each others' leads, and those who are the leaders always have followers. But the girls were always much more catty, and it was much more important to them to be associated with the popular girls and to despise the unpopular ones. Boys beat each other up; girls put each other down.

Sarah has been designated an "unpopular girl" by the fashion leaders, and that's a much more powerful propaganda ploy than any kind of political argument.

"She's not one of us," they say to each other. "Ha, ha, I'm better than she is!" And so forth. It's not a rational process.

I got sick reading the hate comments aimed at here in the reader replies of The Anchorage Daily News.

Thanks for the thread. It's smoking some of them out at FR.

In my opinion, they're either 1) liberal trolls or 2) trying to take advantage of any negative slant they can in order to benefit their favored lesser candidate (think Mitt, Huck or others).

If Sarah was really the huge negative they claim, they'd be her biggest champion. They'd practically be demanding she run in '12 ... FReeper Deb

I was talking to two conservative leaning people last week and both had nothing good to say about Sarah Palin. One said she wasn’t electable, the other said “she’s as dumb as a box of rocks”. I’m thinking both have been influenced by the anti-Palin media. I’m a big Sarah Palin fan BTW.

your comment made me think, and remember, that God is still in control and will not be losing. I believe He is leading her, just as sure as I am that satan is leading obamanation.

Either intentionally or unintentionally, conservatives have ceded the education and entertainment industries to liberals and socialist. The two elements of society that have the most interaction with our children, are also the most profoundly liberal groups of people in the country.

In the 60's, when I was in grade school, my teachers rarely made political statements or comments. In fact, I really can't look back and point to any grade school leftists. But, a generation later, I watched my oldest child get showered with all manner of leftist indoctrination; textbooks, teachers and multi-media. My wife and I dug deep and worked hard to move our kids to a private school, and I thank myself everyday that we did.

This is a challenge that I'm not quite sure how conservatives will overcome - How to beat back the leftist forces in the entertainment and education industries? Very perplexing.

This week when it was confirmed that Walmart was in bed with the socialist administration and their unions and health care schemes, I was disgusted and disappointed and very let down. If the largest private employer in this nation cannot hold out against the anti American forces that have been unleashed through Obama and his handlers, why should anybody expect a mere American born citizen to ruin her life butting her head against them? It is typical of these bullies, and in fact an integral part of their takeover pattern, to hack away at any person or thing that stands in their way. Sarah said she had completed her goals and would be speaking out for any candidate, any party or no party, who wanted what was best for our country. I hope she realizes that if a candidate runs as a democrat and wins, they will do exactly what their party requires, which is to support their socialist anti American goals. Ssrah is not a quitter, she is a finisher. Now she can also be a starter for those politically leaderless American citizens who are willing to work for restoration of our freedoms and independence.

I dislike her for marrying Todd Palin.

Though I must confess he did see her first. Sigh

Kids and grownups have been saying mean things to hurt people for no reason long before we were born and they will do it long after we are gone.

“She’s a quitter.”

So is Gov. Pawlenty, who recently announced his intention not to run for re-election as governor of Minnesota, also a quitter? I hear he has presidential asperations. He is staying to the end of his term, so he can maintain the trappings of authority while he lines up his campaign plans. Politics as usual, but somehow I haven’t heard a chorus of “he’s a quitter”. I guess staying on the public nickel while you run for office is “standard operating procedure” for the seekers of more power.

Palin breaks the mold, so she’s “a quitter”.

LOL

You or your daughter should put of a Facebook page with only the description of Sarah’s accomplishments and then ask the question,

Who do you think this is?

I’m behind her one way or the other.

Frankly, if she doesn’t run, it’s my disappointment, not hers. I’ve watched her and admired her (and, yes, her family - even the imperfect ones) since BEFORE the McCain pick.

I’ve always thought she was a hoot. A ‘bootstraps’ politician, who did it herself, without a rich spouse, or a trust fund, or an endorsement by the party establishment.

I’m finding it amazing that most of the discussion seems to be (regarding her resignation), “what does she REALLY mean.” Honestly? With her, I think she meant exactly what she said. I think she did a cost/benefit on her current position: most, if not all, of her plans in progress, but being slowed or ignored because of an ongoing slew of ethics complaints (as she stated, for things as stupid as holding up a fish, speaking to reporters, or wearing a logo jacket), all dismissed at great personal and public cost. A year and a half to go till election, with a continuing pounding on the ethics front, which would damage her successor, if not her (Change for Alaska - run against the administration with the most ethics complaints ever? Anyone?).

Add to that, the rigid structure of the Alaskan rule book: every time she would do anything that might possibly be seen as having to do with the lower 48 and/or politics therein, she’d be hammered six ways from Sunday.

As I wrote at the beginning, I think this woman’s great. IF she decides to run, she has my money and time for the asking.

Based on the whole idiot fest following the election, the party can go spit at this point. I’ll put my money toward candidates I believe in, but the RNC abandoned her, and by default, they’ve abandoned me.

And because she tells the truth and the truth shall set you free. Some do not want to be free because it takes work and prefer the government to provide for them. Go Sarah Go and tell it like it is and not a bunch of BS being spouted by many today.
