That’s all well and good if she believes life has other callings for her. Good for her. Let her pursue them. But the fact remains, she quit THIS calling (the governor thingy) to pursue them. You can call it progress or whatever you want. But in order to pursue this “progress” or “life’s calling” she quit her current position.
And, yes, oral sex is sex, Bill.
Of course she quit.
But she quit for the greater good of Alaska. Not for selfish reasons. Quiting for the good of Alaskans is not the same as quitting because she personally couldn’t take the heat. Normal everyday people can relate to and even admire her decision. The political elites will never get it.
Did she know that, as a result of the above, she would face an onslaught of legal abuse from enemies using the mechanism of frivolous complaints through our civil court system?
Did she know that, in 2009, she would be the most vocal and popular GOP figure on the national stage?
Is she granted any stay due to "extenuating circumstances" that apply only in her particular case? Or are going the Shylock route: "10 pounds of flesh, and not an ounce less!"
She doesn’t have to martyr herself and sacrifice her family to satisfy our “need” for her to “following through” with the job. The GOP has stood silent while the wolves savaged both her and her family. She owes them nothing.
