You’re certainly entitled to leave a job and do something else with your life. We’ve all done it. And you can certainly call it “progress” and it may well be. But don’t pretend that doesn’t mean you “quit” the job you’re leaving. Especially if it was a job you were specifically elected to for a four year term and you “progress” after two years.
This conversation reminds me of Dr. Laura's opposition to Palin's candidacy because Palin wasn't staying home to care for her children.
