Exactly- President Bush could have been MUCH more aggressive in defending himself, and the fact that he didn’t I beleive is what lost us credibility and the election- Even his father was the same way- Yeah, it’s nice to ‘rise above the tactics’ of the opposition- but my goodness- liek you said- complacency and innaction, and an unwillingness to defend yourself publicly is NO way to win elections, or to defend what you KNOW to be the right path!
Agree 100%. Just look at where ‘rise above the tactics’ has landed us: a hard-core Marxist in the White House, a psycho-Marxist as Speaker of the House and a fool running the senate.
