The problem is too many conservatives have forgotten what it means to “change the rules of engagement”. In football it’s called “the best defense is a great offense”. Sarah has been on the defensive with all the lawsuits/ethics complaints sucking up AK taxpayer dollars, and her staff’s time. She has resigned to change the “rules of engagement” from defense to offense. I love it!

2010 is coming, and “offesive engagement” is coming for the likes of Dodd, Pelosi, Reid and people like them. Sarah said nothing about running for President, but she did say she would fight for freeom, national security and our country...think about it. She will be free to campaign for the opposing candidate of the jacka$$es we all want out of office. What better place to start, and without being accused of abdicating her duties as governor while doing so.

In the meantime she can write a book, spend time with family and plot strategy...and with all the current ethics complaints thrown out, this stepping down will put her out of the line of fire until the real war heats up. God bless Palin, and we now have a chance in 2010 to end the problems in Congress. Palin draws huge crowds, and that is what many new candidates will need. It isn’t about herself, it’s about stopping the costs to AK, and helping America. It is no accident it was stated on the eve of Independence Day...go Sarah!

You’re right on the money! Sarah can now campaign in 2010 for opponents of the likes of Reid, Pelosi, etc and draw HUGE crowds. And along the way she becomes a HUGE national figure for 2012.

I tend to agree - Sarah is *not* done. She's just getting
started. I think that the Governor's office position has
become a millstone for her. She now has exec experience,
she has risen to national prominence, she no longer needs
this job to advance her career.

I think she is going to spend the 2010 election season
as a private citizen endorsing true conservative
congressional candidates all over the country. As a
private citizen, no one can touch her. No one can file
ethics complaints, maybe with Todd's fishing fleet, but
not with any governmental agency.

She is now untouchable. She can spend the next 18
months appearing all over the nation, helping to change
the flavor of the 112th Congress from that of the
111th. She will thereby gain all sorts of national
exposure. Then she can start the 2012 primary season
fresh. If President for Life 0bama permits a 2012
election, she will likely run very strong.

Go Sarah, GO!

She will never be out of the line of fire. The frothing hatred of the Left is for good reason they see her as the biggest threat to their power.

She should go on attack particularly against the media which is the biggest source of the Left’s power. It defines Truth only after direction from the DNC.
