I gather Chris Wallace was uttering wishful thinking when predicting she was leaving politics altogether. From the litany of accomplishments she’s now citing, I suspect I may have been right believing she’s getting ready to run in 2012. Media will have a field day but she’s equipped to handle it better than most.

Chirs Wallace really showed his true colors this afternoon, huh? He's no Palin fan (unlike Greta!). Geesh, now all the talking heads on FNC are saying Sarah's speech was "rambling and defensive". Candy Crowley and Julianne Malveaux on CNN seemed amazed that Sarah "seemed to be speaking off the top of her head... not using a teleprompter".

I hope this is a good thing, but stepping down short of finishing her term is very odd to me... very risky. Despite my silly tagline, I tend to agree with Krauthammer that Sarah needs to "study up" on world affairs before she is a serious contender for the White House. I really want to support her in 2012 though...

I nodded when hearing Krauthammer say it and I suspect that is what she plans to do. By resigning, she's giving herself all the time she needs to get her ducks in order (especially if she may be running against Hillary). However the fact she's leaving her post prematurely will only give the left more fodder to use against her -- disregarding the fact that she's leaving a successful admin. thanks to her efforts.
