A Colt Army Special revolver used by East Chicago, Ind., police Capt. Timothy A. O'Neil to fatally shoot John Dillinger could be yours for what auctioneers say may be much more than their conservative $8,000 to $12,000 estimate.
The .38-caliber, 5-inch-barrel gun and its holster will be auctioned at noon July 28 -- six days after the 75th anniversary of Dillinger's fatal shooting -- at Chicago's Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, 1338 W. Lake. The new Dillinger movie, "Public Enemies," premieres in Chicago tonight and opens July 1.

I bought a vintage Colt after the election, just to ease the pain of the election loss a bit. It’s a Colt .22 Long rifle revolver Officer’s Model 3rd edition. It’s true, the craftsmanship on it is amazing. It is in 95 percent fine condition. I have my eye on a Colt .357 vintage revolver, not sure if it is still there at the shop. It’s pricey, so I bet it’s still there. Still has it’s presentation box. Must get to the shop soon and see if it’s still there. Maybe they’ll even have ammo for it! Sarcasm on.
I was wondering if the real Billie Frechette was as beautiful as the actress who played her. I am also in Wisconsin. I found out the other day, that the orchard scene at the start of the movie was shot at the farm of family friends south of Madison. I thought that the actress that played Frechette was a real scene stealer. I am not familiar with any other films she has done. Depp was good, as was Bale. I liked the whole film. It is difficult to find a good movie these days, and this one gets my highest recommendation.
Thanks - I’ll see what I can find out there. The bigger problem seems to be locating quality ammo right now - at least at a semi-reasonable price.
My dad used to live right near the Colt plant in Hartford and owned some of their wares. He also had a Springfield .30 with a star-gauge barrel that my mother made him sell when we were kids. I hesitate to imagine what that rifle would be worth today.
Actually, it looks like one of the E.Chicago cops shot him, not an FBI agent. There are rumors he was not killed in the fusillade and was executed in the alley.
She was in “A Good Year” with Russel Crowe.
She was very beautiful. Google her picture
When Freepers have our own country, you can be the Queen.
: ) Thank you!
I bought a total of 3 new guns and 5000 rounds from Nov. to May. The other 2 were new and Freeper recommended, a Sig P226 in .357sig, and the same model in the 9mm.
I had only 3 before The Usurper took office, a Ruger .45ACP, Beretta 92F 9mm, and a great little Henry Golden Boy .22mag rifle.
The Usurper, best guns and ammo saleman in history, forced me to double to 6 firearms. I also went from a mere 50 rounds to 5000, just to piss him off. And I rejoined the NRA not just for one year, but for 5. Signed up my brother too.
The libtards have got to know how many new gun purchases there have been and how many millions and millions of rounds are in the hands of patriots. Ready if needed, girl or not, I’ll be there. My Daddy didn’t raise a quitter. No one screws with my country and gets away with it.
All the armed citizens keep them from just coming and taking us to re-edumacation camps! That is just what they’d like. All us free thinkers, all who were not indoctrinated, either just eliminated or sent somewhere to die.
Yep, little old me, Christian Patriot, on the Gov’t watch list. LOL. Libtards are such pansies. Tax protesters and veterans, on the watch list. Libs are navel-gazing metrosexuals, a dangerous sort to have in charge of our country.
Hope you had a fun Independence Day! Despite the occupier in The White House, we had 20 Americans at my house yesterday.
He won’t take our country from us. We will survive. He will be gone in 2012, and neutered even sooner in 2010.
He and Michelle My Belle can go back to community organizin’ in Chicago.
Cheers!
