Massachusetts to Ban Public Access to Firearms Training
Gun Owners Action League ^ | 7/33/09

Massachusetts' Liberals are celebrating the 4th of July weekend by planning to pass legislation to ban public access to firearms training. Since no one in MA can go to their chief of police to beg for a MA LTC without completing training, this is another way to ban firearms ownership in MA without violating Heller. They are undoubtedly laughing it up over this one on Beacon Hill.

Pay attention. This is part of Obama's test plan to end private firearms ownership in the U.S. (Patrick was reportedly on the team that helped train ACORN to "win" the 2008 election).

This would make a nice SC case. It’s so blatant.

So disarm everyone and turn the country over to thugs who don’t bother to get approved firearm training. We are moving much faster to becoming a third world country than I could have imaged.

So, go out of state and visit your friendly traveling gun show. Buy as many as you can. And don’t forget the ammo.

I’m so glad I live in Texas.

Gee, I wonder if my US Army sponsored training on the M14, M16, M1911, M79, M60, M1918BAR and the M2 .50 cal would qualify?

Seems to me that a lot of vets would have their LTCs in the bag.

(Ooops! I forgot, we’re all Domestic Terrorists. ..... ooh, well.)

Nothing the left fears/hates more than an armed public. It’s so much more difficult to enslave 120 million people with guns!

The part of training that I found most useful was the legal stuff. Since I had a handgun since I was knee high to a blade of grass, well whenever, I didn’t really need much help with the guns.

The legal stuff was quite valuable.

Call me primitive, but the only “law” I’m concerned with is the natural law that says you shouldn’t shoot anyone who’s not trying to hurt you or yours.

No the laws, and what you can do and cannot. If you carry a firearm, or use one, you gotta to know what is called legal in your state, else ... Just asking for trouble you don’t need.

It's a perfect leftist atmosphere in Washington right now.....

.....RATS in charge of the White House

.....RATS in charge of the House

.....RATS have a Super Majority of the Senate

.....RATS control the court system, with gains to surely happen under Osama

.....RATS writing the news stories

And for the record, a RAT isn't simply your grandfather's Democrat. They are Marxist infiltrators, the slimy 60's hippies if you will, who have taken over the Democrat Party.

These are seriously dangerous times we live in.

If pushed to the wall, you are right, sort it out in court. But for the rest, I think it’s best to know. Up to you whether you comply.

For instance, what about the burglar stuck in your window waving a crowbar at you in the middle of the night scenario. Shoot no shoot? What if he has a gun?

Gets messy real quick.

How about this one ... You are armed(and why wouldn’t you be) walking into Walmart and someone yells “I’ve got a bomb and am going to kill you all” ... Now what?

Just saying ... it might be nice to know what your State laws say about this.

Kill our fundamental right to keep and bear arms through onerous and outrageous micro regulation, costly requirements and/or taxes.

THAT is just PART of the new left-wing attack on our guns and 2nd Amendment.

THIS is what is happening in virtual Nanny/Police-States like MA, and what is likely to come to our entire country if we let these left-wing, UN-AMERICAN scumbags get away with destroying our RIGHTS.

They MUST be stopped.

Ballot box or cartridge box?

THEY (the anti-freedom politicians) determine their own fate.

Follow the supreme law of the land - our CONSTITUTION - or suffer the consequences and the wrath of the freedom-loving citizens of America.

Perhaps we will end up needing our own Honduran Solution?

While onerous, the restrictions do not “ban” or “outlaw” anything.

This is most likely in response to the kid that got machine-gunned at an exhibition.

When we allow stupidity and carelessness, this is the reaction.

Moral: Guns are not toys and if you see someone that thinks they are, do your best to educate them. Their accident will only serve to harm your rights.

Actually, I think that would violate Heller. Heller ruled on a DC “ban” that wasn’t actually a ban, either. The DC “ban” had a licensing requirement, and then DC simply refused issue licenses.

This “ban” would add a secondary requirement for licensing, and then outlaw the fulfillment of the secondary requirement. It is virtually the same situation. Legally, it would likely violate Heller if Heller were applied to states and localities.

The only remaining question is whether the Court will incorporate the 2nd amendment into the 14th, and thus apply the Heller ruling to States and local governments.

Well said, and my sentiments exactly. That is exactly why the forefathers made it the 2nd amendment in the Constitution...to protect the first amendment.

All of what you observed is 100% true.

But they still "fear" an armed public and a military who loves this country.

Given what the state of Mass-of-two-$xxxx has given this country in the way of Senators and Representatives they deserve this bill.

Let them wallow in their socialist pig sty.

And to be fair, my own people's revolutionary republic of NY deserves the same.

If I could sell my house I would be out of here in a NY minute.
