I agree 100% with you.
I think what we need is to take a page fom the socialist handbook. They knew that they could never be elected under the socialist banner so they joined the democratic party.
We need to get people like Paul run under the republican ticket. They can’t get elected as third parties or libertarians.
(though I still like Fred Thompson a lot, call me crazy)
Get involved in your local Republican, Constitution, or Libertarian party branch. Or Democrat party branch, if you can stomach it. Take over from the ground up.
