It's hard enough to be a Republican on most campuses these days. Now you can't even be a member of the Republican Club at two of America's most conservative colleges -- because the clubs have been banned.
Liberty University in Virginia, which banned its College Democratic club in May for holding positions on abortion and gay marriage that were contrary to its conservative Christian values, recently de-listed its College Republican club as well.
And in a similar move, Brigham Young University at Idaho, a school run by the Mormon Church, demoted both its Republican and Democratic clubs to informal status.

Well there’s still Hillsdale.

Flip sides of the same coin.
The label "Republican" seldom represents conservative Christian values anymore anyway.
That gave way to the "Big Tent" years ago.
I can only pray that some day, Notre Dame will do the same.

Hi Willie, long time no see! What I am afraid of is that Notre Dame IS teaching what it believes.
Who cares what the people of VA think; he should have stuck to his guns, what a sell out (shameful day from a Liberty Alumnus)/. JS

As a Bible believing Christian who was raised Roman Catholic but later accepted Jesus Christ as my sole intercessor.
What are your “obvious disagreements with much of what is taught” at Liberty? I’m assuming your speaking about a curriculum that urges faith in Christ, His ministry and His sacrifice for our sins? What disagreement(s) would you have with that?
Good way to make themselves impotent and drop enrollment. Why are evangelists so stooooopid? Consistently, so.
