The list does not claim to be exhaustive. Call it 50 easy targets. Low hanging fruit.

No Nuclear, the only viable alternative energy source known.

This is a bad bill, that is based on bad science. I have no problem with having an energy policy. This is not a policy, it is a tax. It is one large redistribution of wealth, from the US to other countries.
Energy policy should be an all of the above type of policy, based on incentive and not punitive measures. Everything we produce in this country requires energy. In effect we are taxing production, which leads to less production. Our country is going to be made pay for its success. The democrats are funneling our money to other countries through this bill. On the house floor the figure used in collected “revenues” that goes overseas is $2.2 trillion.
It is set up this way so that you get upset with the energy company. Do not be fooled this is entirely our government who is ultimate receiver of all these funds. Full of special interest, and BS. You want energy policy that is fine, but not a TAX!!!

Can you say “political-industrial complex”?

As we approach Independence Day, let us recognize this, the greatest threat to our individual liberties, THE POLITICAL-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

No Nuclear, the only viable alternative energy source known.

Bingo!

Kudo's to your perception DannyTN.

The nuclear lobby must not tote enough political clout with payoffs.

Exsqueeze me but there's not "50 Things Wrong".
There's 1,201 Things Wrong" with HR 2454 (Waxman-Markey Cap-and-Trade Bill).

And those 1,201 things are EVERY PAGE in the final version of the Bill this MONSTER. And like any monster it needs to be 'shot down asap'. (NOT sarcasm)

If this passes the Senate we are sooooooo screwed.

The author failed to mention the new unemployment benefit program that provides 52 weeks of Climate Change benefits to those who lose their jobs due to the new regulations. It’s in the bill.

Don’t you know after 9/11 if it just saves one child from a terrorist, never going nuclear and getting rid of current nuclear facilities is worth it?

Feel the fear?

Go green, it’s for the children so they aren’t killed by terrorists.

I've never encountered an anti-nuclear because of terrorism argument before, the left isn't actually using that are they? I'm a little surprised they haven't used it, but then they'd have to give up blaming terrorism on Bush.

Gov. Palin is promoting Nuclear for Alaska, but she wants to go with the small self contained European Nuclear plants that are encased in a block of concrete and buried deep underground.

I'm with her. I think all cities should prepare a site and build the hookups to drop one of those units in the ground on a short notice.

The country should buy an emergency reserve of the things. And that way if there is a disaster where the grid is damaged. You can drop one of those in the ground and have instant power from a local location.

I think it would be nice to replace the so call “smart grid” with local small nukes.

Local control of things in general don’t favor tyrants. That’s why the Google boys want to write the spyware that runs the smart grid. They want to be able to know how much electricity you use and if you use too much - that is, if you are not politically connected - you get cut off.

They forgot that the United Nations and subsidiary organizations will be directing the Secty of State and Secty of Energy to fulfill the provisions of this bill.

Not the Congress, not the people of the United States.

They forgot to add what is essentially a constitution-killer.
