Americans citizens have had enough already. The course the nation's government has taken over the past few decades has slowly slid away from the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law.
The executive, legislative and judicial branches are running roughshod over the American people. It was only a matter of time before the American spirit rose up to fight against the rogue federal government; the T.E.A. (Taxed Enough Already) movement grew out of that vital American spirit.
Conservatives were troubled when the Democrats took the majority in Congress and President Obama won the White House. We feared the worst with the executive and legislative branches suddenly free of checks and balances. But we truly could not have anticipated the speed with which Mr. Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the rest of the gang in Congress have shredded the Constitution, forced federal programs upon the states and wreaked havoc on an already crippled economy.
The Obama overtax-and-deficit-spend philosophy has crushed businesses and local economies in favor of the pet projects of liberal insiders and the politically well-connected. Phone calls, e-mails and faxes have poured into Washington by the millions, only to be completely ignored.

I would highly recommend Glenn Beck’s new book, Common Sense. The American people know something is very wrong and are getting pissed.
I am a conservative and while the left is more dangerous, the GOP is responsible for a lot of the problems in America as well. They controlled congress and the White House and spent like fools.
I say, vote all incumbents out of office. They work for us and they have forgotten that.
“Phone calls, e-mails and faxes have poured into Washington by the millions, only to be completely ignored.”
In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms: our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people...
Declaration of Independence
Unless, and until, the American people get really aggravated and decide to act in their own interests, the 0bamunist march to marxism is likely to proceed, unchecked.
If he gets the chance to replace a couple more SCOTUS Justices, he’ll have all three elements of the Federal government in his pocket, along with the sada$$ Lamestream Media, and we will have lost the country.
The anointed one will have done in just a matter or months what the entire Soviet Union failed to do in over 40 years of the Cold War. AND, we will have no one to blame but ourselves.
It’s time to bring back the country.
A General Response.
This makes for a great read. But as long as the TEA Party movement isn’t focused, it’s going nowhere. But what is more to the point, as long as Congress can forcibly collect taxes from the people, it’s going to continue to dictate to the people rather than represent the people, it’s just that simple.
We must, as a party, as a new political party, as a new political party called the TEA Party, kill the 16th Amendment before we can regain our liberty, anything short of this is meaningless.

I loved the book. I am passing it on to my sister and we will keep it rolling until it touches every hand we can see.
I agree-make EVERY politician scared. We need to let them know that we will not tolerate their Washington politics anymore. I do not care what party. Come voting time, there is gonna be us to answer to. Keep the heat on....
Then volunteer to get the focus it needs. Our cause is the cause for everybody. We either believe that or we don’t. Our passion will only be effective when it causes politicians to take notice by their actions.
My Senators in Michigan do not get it. They vote only what the boss party tells them to do. I still let them know what I think.
I believe it is time to use your feet and get personal. You need to get out and talk to your neighbors. Let them know you care. How about this week? Can’t you put together some sort of flyer to take to your neighbors describing the devastation that Cap and Trade poses to them?
This thing is personal. You will generate interest when you show it.
When such an article was written about the so-called abusues by the Bush administration, do you ever recall the writers identifying themselves as liberals? Honesty in journalism- what a novel concept!
I agree with you on killing the 16th Amendment. But, I don’t think it will be with a new political party. I rather think it will take a major overhaul of the GOP and a return to conservative principles; smaller government, fiscal responsibility, respect for the Constitution, etc.
There are already a number of conservative, alternative political parties, but none have successfully gained traction on this slippery slope.
But listen to me now. Even if we manage to create a new party, nothing will change unless the present flow of money to Congress changes. We must kill the 16th Amendment as our only meaningful goal if we are true to our core political concept Taxed Enough Already. And we must stop the executive branch from printing even more worthless money. Anything less is just talk. In fact, it's worse than talk...it's self-deception talk.
