Palin could win the GOP nomination, but that is as far as she could go.
That is exactly why so many of us are afraid of her.
We want to throw 0bama out of office, and that will require a different candidate than Sarah Palin.

Here is a question for you guys:
If you knew Palin would lose and return 0bama to a second term, would you still support her for the Republican nomination?

I think Barry the Magnificent will screw things so royally that Donald Duck could wipe the floor with him in 2012...

Your thinking is run by theory not facts and reality.

I disagree. I think Palin has vastly improved now that she is not sidled with the McCain crowd. If everyone who wants to get Obama out stops the nitpicking and supports her she can and will win. She has the fight necessary. I don’t know of any one else that is better right now. Certainly not Mitt Romney. Saying she would lose is premature and stupid. It is like saying you are ceding the race before it is run. George Bush won twice when he was up against major opposition, they called him stupid, they derided him, they beat him down. Sarah Palin is an order of magnitude better than Bush and I believe with the right team she would blow Obama out of the water.

There is no ease win. Whoever gets the nomination will have to fight the minions of Obama and it is better to have someone who has faced them and survived than to have some great unknown. Also Palin could easily boost her measure with a solid running mate. The amount of hate focused on her is going to wear thing. It already has to a large degree and as bad as Obama and as bad as the economy will be Palin will be able to take him apart.

Here’s an answer for you. How would I ever know that? I’m not a fortune teller. I might fear that she will lose but I would work my tail off to make sure she didn’t lose.

Remember, after the republican convention, McCain was ahead of Obama. Then the TARP bailout crisis came up, McCain chose the RINO way, and he never recovered. His opportunity was gone.

Right now Obama appears to be hard to beat, yet we know that his actions so far have done more to hurt the American people than help them. We don’t know when any of these gigantic disasters of his are going to come crashing down on his head, so I can’t say that I “know” that 0bama will be given a second term. Who knows, maybe someone in Hawaii will turn up his real birth certificate or one of the other documents that prove he was a citizen of another country.

I’m not waiting for that to happen mind you. I just know it’s stupid to speculate what 0bama’s appeal will be this far out. And if Sarah is as scary as you say, just give her a break until closer to election time. Don’t come out four years early and try to tear down one of your own. That is just one of the most crass things imaginable. You are probably scaring away any real conservative who might come out and run.

But then again, helping conservatives isn’t their objective is it. Since the only candidates left standing will be those MSM supported RINOs. With Romney leading the pack. He is a devious little so and so isn’t he.

I would like to be wrong about the people who are so willing to trash Sarah Palin, but I don’t think I am.

“If you knew Palin would lose and return 0bama to a second term, would you still support her for the Republican nomination?”

Nope. And you have every right to voice your opinion and concerns. When the primaries come, and if she runs, by all means campaign hard for your guy and against her.

But also don't be surprised when people react quite strongly to your, with all do respect, flimsy argument that Palin will lose in 2012 because somehow she was actually the one running against Obama and not McCain.

The fact of the matter is, McCain Palin was up any where from 2-5 points over Obama-Biden until Lehman Brothers Imploded and the Treasury Secretary and Congress began running around like chickens with their heads cut off screaming the sky was falling and we would all soon be living in boxes. Then Obama and the Media kept playing the McCain clips where he said “The Fundamentals of the Economy are strong” and the rest is history.

You are blaming Palin, who was in the race for about two months in one of the longest General Elections in history, who also gave McCain the only sustained period of being ahead of Obama in the entire race and basically gave McCain the only chance he had in the entire race of being elected, for his failure to be elected. THAT is why people are reacting so strongly to your post.

But Palin , especially being overly controlled by McCain's incompetent staff, could not overcome the image of a confused old man who was so out of touch with reality appeared to keep chanting “all is well” as peoples retirement, homes, and college funds dropped to near worthlessness.
