I am not trying to convince anybody that she should run or that she would make a great governor or any elected official. I only described the short impulse (emotion, not reason) that I had after reading the article. I have no idea if she even gave even a moment’s thought about being in politics herself, let alone in what capacity.
Obviously, to have an impression and wanting to have someone running for office requires much more than reading one article, which is all I know about Jenny Sanford. I didn’t know anything about Mark Sanford before his “run of the mouth” either, except that he was highly touted as a great conservative candidate for President. Now I know too much about him and it comes courtesy of Mark Sanford himself, directly from his actions and his [voluminous] recount.
But on surface, from first impression, it seems that people of SC could do worse than Jenny Sanford, and definitely can do much better than Mark Sanford.
I understand what you are saying and I agree; however, there are problems there. :)
Here in Arkansas Mike Huckabee was the Lt. Gov when Jim Guy Tucker resigned after being convicted of mail fraud and conspiracy.
