"We don't need more U.S. forces," Nicholson finally told Jones. "We need more Afghan forces."

Seems Nicholson was referring to more Afghan forces, not US forces. Seems pretty silly to get upset about the reaction that Jones thinks Obama would have about a hypothetical situation that hasn't even been discussed by the commanders on the ground yet.

I'll reserve judgment on this until Obama actually declines to send more troops that were actually requested.

So you think the ridiculous rules of engagement that King Obama has handed our troops are ok as well?

Sorry...but I’ve already seen enough to be very concerned and fearful for our troops under their new CIC.

From linked article: Woodward goes on to repeat the strategic mantra, ”security, economic development and reconstruction.” The mission statement: ”Killing the enemy is secondary.” The generals may think they need up to 32,000 more troops in addition to the 68,000 already authorized, but … WTF? Jones tells jarhead commanders in Afghanistan: “The piece of the strategy that has to work in the next year is economic development.”

Do you really think President pantywaist is going to authorize 32,000 more troops?

As far as the Taliban is concerned I'm sure they are very happy to see the ”Killing the enemy is secondary.” is a ROE. They must be s***faced happy as a virgin goat to know they are not a target
