If there are politicians that agree with the Movement, there are other venues where they can express their support should they so wish. IMO, the Tea Party Movement should remain the grass roots movement of its inception.

FYI, Ted Poe was elected to Congress as part of our local grass roots movement and his voting record reflects that. You can have whoever you want speak at your Tea Party. We’ll choose whoever we want, thank you.
I doubt there is a Congressman in the House more Conservative than Poe. He is not part of the “Ruling class”!

It is regular, rank-and-file Americans who should be our leaders. Truck drivers, shoe salesmen, football coaches, doctors and farmers. The role of lawyers should be to frame their intent as law, and nothing more.
