Speaking of Tea Parties, I just got back from the San Jacinto Tea Party. It was held at Houston Raceway Park, a drag strip just east of Baytown, Texas and about 30 miles east of Houston. I estimated the crowd at close to 5,000.
There are several other Tea Parties scheduled around the Houston area including one in downtown Houston where around 20,000 are expected.
Our Tea Party was great! We had Jim McIngvale aka “Matress Mac” and our great local Congressman, Ted Poe as keynote speakers. A former Secret Service Agent spoke on the Second Ammendment and I thought for a minute he was going to call for the attendees to literally rise up in arms. He guarded the Clintons and both Bushes and said that guarding Clinton was not by choice but was an assignment. He also said that he had enough material from the Clintons to write a couple of books but that he is prohibited from revealing it.
Poe discussed the disastrous legislation recently passed that he called the Cap and Tax bill. These taxes will cause our cost of living to explode and wound industry badly. We also had a very conservative Black Pastor from Houston who also gave a very good speech. He has a talk show in Houston and is trying to urge Blacks to get over to the Conservative side.
