The funny thing is after Thompson failed conservative talk radio and groupies jumped on the Romney bandwagon. When McCain won Hannity and Levin jumped on the McCain bandwagon(not Rush fortunately) . And then at FR it was “Vote McCain or Die” by most of those that hate McCain. Which brings us to Romney, if Romney looks like he can win, he will likely get it, and if he gets it, most here will support him against Obama, “Vote Romney or Die” will be the cry by the same ones attacking him on this thread.

You are forgetting that the majority of freepers voted for McCain ONLY because of Sarah Palin. We're tired of the 'he's better than the alternative' fear tactics, which is how we end up with RINOs in the first place. I guarantee you. If Romney somehow manages to jive his way into the nomination, FR will not be behind him, no matter who he chooses as a running mate.

Its those fear tactics that have destroyed the GOP and shifted it to the left. Conservatives know better than to fall for that crap- again.

A couple of other points, I don't think many Fred “groupies” here jumped on the Mitt band wagon and I don't recall much "Vote McCain or Die" here, more like "damn, well maybe we can stop Obama, and he did pick Palin..."

But now isn’t the time for “vote Romney or else.” NOW is the time to give us a better candidate than Romney.

We must defeat Romney NOW or we WILL be faced with the untenable option of having to vote for him later.
