WASHINGTON (AP) - One of the principal authors of health care legislation taking shape in the House accused drug companies and other medical providers Wednesday of stealing, and said they are now offering concessions in the hopes the bill that emerges will not demand too much of them.
"Everyone knows that people around the table are stealing, but they don't want to turn each other in if they're going to have to pay the full penalty," said Rep. Charles Rangel, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.
Asked in an interview on MSNBC what he meant by stealing, the New York Democrat replied, "I mean stealing."

That kettle-meet-pot is just way too wimpy to describe a thief like Rangel, and the personal tax-cheating he did is the least of it.

This is just too rich. Rangel is one to talk. But then he’s an expert at taking what doesn’t belong to him.
By the way, can anyone tell me why I have Rangel for my congressman, Eric “Microstamping” Schneiderman the gun-grabber for my state senator, and Rosie O’Donnell’s brother for my assemblycritter?
It’s becoming harder and harder to tell reality from satire in today’s news. While no one doubts Rangel is pretty much the finest expert in Congress on the subject of stealing I’m really starting to blame the Republican party for even allowing these bastards to acheive so much power. Look what they have squandered and lost since 1994.
Spineless responses like this are like blood in the water to the sharks. I know that pharmaceutical companies and all private companies are scared to death by these fascists, but come on now. A 24 hour stand down of all drug companies, just to show what could happen if the government keeps pushing, would be very instructive to all concerned.

Nobody or nothing steals more than our congress. If we are going to lock crooks up, we should start there.
