Afshin, a shopkeeper from south-west Iran, alleges that one of his friends was beaten and repeatedly raped after being arrested at an opposition rally after last month's disputed election. Author: Esfandiar Poorgiv is a pseudonym.
Under the circumstances I do not blame him or the Guardian.
The repeated reports of atrocities is sickening.
But believable. The Mullahs are desperate to keep this under control.

If these reports are true,
When the regime does fall it will be an ugly pay back time.

I think the angels must be crying. Over an unverified allegation?

I hope the angels don't cry over such unestablished rumors.

He’s talking about me posting to you on a different thread, without including him, even though I didn’t say anything about him. He’s jealous.

What can you expect from someone who doesn’t think that Neda’s death was real?
Or that beating women is a joke?
Or that making fun of mentally retarded people is funny?
This is just SOP.

Or that useless eaters should be euthanized.
Or that abortion should be easy, cheap and frequent.

The article described in detail. The whole thing repulses me. If this is in fact happening, this will not simply go away.
It they were armed in Iran this would have blown completely up.
Had no use for the Mullahs there before, but if the use of 5000 Hezbullah for crowd control and this are true, they are animals.

This type of thing and worse has taken place in the Balkans.
Our Western sensitivities are not match for some of the cruelty in the world.
Is it possible this is overblown? Yes, but I personally think that at least some of the claims are true.
This did come from an English Source.
